Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar Islam Al-Amanah Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung dari aspek tujuan karangan, isi karangan, organisasi deskripsi, ciri linguistik, dan teknik penulisan karangan.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis konten.Subjek penelitian adalah hasil karangan deskripsi siswa kelas II SD Islam Al-Amanah yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Metode penelitia ini adalah analisis isi (konten analysis).Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, dokumentasi, dan wawancara terhadap guru wali kelas II.Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis hasil tulisan siswa yang telah terdokumentasi dan jawaban hasil wawancara terhadap guru.Tes yang dilakukan terhadap siswa dan wawancara terhadap guru dilakukan secara daring (online) yang kemudian didokumentasikan untuk dapat dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dilihat dari aspek tujuan deskripsi, isi, organisasi deskripsi, ciri linguistik, dan teknik penulisan, siswa sudah memiliki keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi yang baik. Namun, dari seluruh aspek tersebut terdapat beberapa siswa yang belum memenuhi kriteria baik pada bagian ciri linguistik.Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kurangnya pembendaharaan kosakata ataupun mengembangan kebahasaan dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan deskripsi. ----- This study aims to determine the essay writing skills of the second grade students of AL-amanah Islamic Elementary School, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency from the aspects of essay objectives, essay contents, organizational description, linguistic characteristics, and essay writing techniques. This type of research is qualitative research with content analysis. The subject of the study was the result of a descriptive essay of the second grade students of AL-amanah Islamic Elementary School student totaling 25 student. This research method is content analysis. Data collection technique used in this study were test, documentation, and interviews with the homeroom teacher class II. The data from the results of this study were analyzed with qualitative descriptive twhniques to analyze the result of the documented student’s writing and the answers of the interviews with the teacher. Test conducted on students and interview with teacher conducted online which is then documented to be analyzed. Based on the results of this study, viewed from the aspects of the purpose of description, content, organization description, linguistic characteristic, and writing technique, student already have good essay writing skills. However, from all these aspects there are some student who have not met the criteria either in the linguistic features section. This is due to the lack of vocabulary development or language development in learning to write essay descriptions.
