Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan terkait keterampilan berpikir kritis anak usia dini yang belum optimal. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari berbagai hasil penelitian sebelumnya, bahwa kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada anak Indonesia belum maksimal. Adapun pembelajaran yang diasumsikan, sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis anak, adalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PBL). Salah satu lembaga yang menerapkan model tersebut adalah TK LS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan partisipan guru kelas B yang berjumlah 2 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, penerapan model pembelajaran di TK LS, dapat memberikan stimulasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis anak. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan adanya kemajuan anak dalam kemampuan memecahkan masalah, mengemukakan pendapat, dan meningkatnya rasa percaya diri pada anak. Adapun kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PBL) dapat dijadikan sebagai stimulasi keterampilan berpikir kritis pada anak usia dini. Kata kunci : anak usia dini, keterampilan berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PBL). ------ This research was based on the fact that Indonesian children still do not have optimal critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the results of the research that the ability to solve problems has not been maximally owned by Indonesian children. The learning assumed, as an effort to improve children's critical thinking skills, is to use the Project Based Learning (PBL) model. One of the institutions implementing this model is TK LS. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, with 2 class B teachers as the participants. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that implementing the Project Based Learning (PBL) model in TK LS can give stimulation to the children's critical thinking skill.This was proved by the children’s progress in solving problems, expressing opinions, and increasing their self-confidence. The conclusion obtained from this research is that by implementing the Project Based Learning (PBL) model, children will be trained to have critical The results showed that by implementing the Project Based Learning (PBL) model in TK LS, can give stimulation to the children in thinking critically skills.
