Abstract

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul upaya meningkatka hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) tentang sifat-sifat benda pada pembelajaran IPA. Berdasarkan pengalaman sehari-hari dalam kegiatan pembelajaran IPA, aktivitas belajar sebagian besar siswa masih rendah dan kurang optimal seperti kurang memperhatikan guru pada saat menerangkan, tidak cepat tanggap terhadap materi yang disampaikan guru atau lebih cenderung acuh terhadap materi pelajaran yang disampaikan guru. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang difokuskan pada situasi kelas yang lebih dikenal dengan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Pasirkupa Desa Mekarwangi Kecamatan Cikadu Kabupaten Cianjur. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah siswa 27 orang, terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 17 orang siswi perempuan. secara umum penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatakan hasil belajar siswa melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) tentang sifat-sifat benda pada mata pelajaran IPA. Sedangkan metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kontekstual dengan tekhnik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan lembar observasi guru dan siswa, catatan lapangan dan lembar evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian pada siklus I yaitu 58,52. Nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh siswa yaitu 70 sebanyak 10 orang (37,04%), sedangkan nilai terendah yaitu 40 sebanyak 5 orang (18,52%). siklus II yaitu 66,67. Nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh siswa yaitu 80 berjumlah 3 orang (11,11%), sedangkan nilai terendah yaitu 50 sebanyak 2 orang (7,41%), dan siklus III yaitu nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh siswa yaitu 90 berjumlah 4 orang (14,81%), sedangkan nilai terendah yaitu 65 berjumlah tiga orang (11,11%). Jadi secara kuantitatif, hasil belajar siswa setelah tiga kali pembelajaran terbukti meningkat. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning pada pembelajaran IPA tentang sifat-sifat benda terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
ABSTRACT
This research effort titled raise the students' learning outcomes through the implementation of the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the properties of objects in science learning. Based on daily experiences in science learning activities, learning activities most students is low and less than optimal as less attention to the teacher at the time explained, was not responsive to any material submitted or teachers are more likely to care about the subject matter presented teachers. For that conducted the research focused on classroom situations known as Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in the village of SDN Pasirkupa Mekarwangi Cikadu Cianjur district. Research subjects are fourth grade students with student numbers 27 people, consisting of 10 male students and 17 female students. general research aims to increasing student learning outcomes approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the properties of objects in science subjects. While the methods used in this study is a contextual approach to data collection technique which uses teacher and student observation sheets, field notes, and evaluation sheets. The results of the study in the first cycle is 58.52. The highest score obtained by the students is 70 by 10 people (37.04%), while the lowest value is 40 by 5 people (18.52%). second cycle is 66.67. The highest score obtained by the students of 80 were 3 people (11.11%), while the lowest value is 50 by 2 people (7.41%), and the third cycle is the highest score obtained by the students are 90 numbered 4 (14.81 %), while the lowest value at 65 were three people (11.11%). So quantitatively, student learning outcomes after three proven learning increases. The conclusion that can be drawn from the application of the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning in science learning about the properties of objects shown to improve student learning outcomes.
