Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang pembelajaran berbicara melalui model bermain peran berbantuan video. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 orang siswa kelas V SDN Rancaekek 05. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes bercerita dan angket. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara siswa pada pretest berkategori kurang, sedangkan pada posttest berkategori cukup. Keterampilan berbicara siswa untuk setiap aspek kebahasaan pada pretest berkategori kurang dan pada posttest berkategori baik. Jadi, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model bermain peran berbantuan video dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara dan partisipasi aktif siswa. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Berbicara, Model Bermain Peran, Video, Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar This study aimed to describe teaching and learning process using role playing model based on video. The research subjects consisted of 30 students in grade V SDN Rancaekek 05. The research method used was qualitative method. The instruments used by researcher were oral speaking skills test and questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that the average score of students' speaking skills in pretest was in the poor category, while in the posttest in the sufficient category. Students' speaking skills of every language aspects in the pretest was in poor category and in the posttest in good category. So, role playing model based on video can be used as an alternative learning model in speaking teaching and learning process to develop students' speaking skills and active students participation.
