Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah implementasi problem based learning dalam pembelajaran kimia SMA pada konteks pengawetan buah nanas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai implementasi pendekatan problem based learning dalam pembelajaran kimia SMA pada konteks pengawetan buah nanas meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah mix method dengan strategi penelitian concurrent embedded dan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan disalah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Cimahi dengan subyek penelitian siswa kelas XII SMA sebanyak 33 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen penliaian rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, instrumen penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran , lembar kerja siswa, lembar observasi sikap dan kinerja lab siswa serta butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perencanaan pembelajaran problem-based learning tipe Eggen and Kauchak pada konteks pengawetan buah nanas yang dilakukan oleh guru (peneliti) tergolong kategori sangat baik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran problem-based learning tipe Eggen and Kauchak pada konteks pengawetan buah nanas ditinjau dari kinerja guru (peneliti) tergolong kategori sangat baik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran problem-based learning tipe Eggen and Kauchak pada konteks pengawetan buah nanas ditinjau dari kinerja siswa pada aspek pemecahan masalah, sikap dan keterampilan siswa tergolong kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran terbagi menjadi tiga golongan yaitu kategori tinggi, sedang, rendah. The research conducted was the implementation of problem based learning in high school chemistry learning in the context of preserving pineapple fruit. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the implementation of approaches to problem-based learning in high school chemistry learning in the context of pineapple preservation including lesson planning, implementation of learning and understanding of students' concepts after learning. The method used in this research is a mix method with a concurrent embedded research strategy and a research one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in one of the State Senior High Schools in Cimahi City. The subjects research were 33 students of class 12 grade high school. The research instrument used was instrument assessment, the learning implementation plan, the learning implementation assessment instrument, student worksheets, student lab performance and attitude observation sheets and the items. The results showed that the planning problem-based learning type Eggen and Kauchak in the context of pineapple preservation carried out by the teacher (researcher) was in the very good category. The implementation of problem-based learning type Eggen and Kauchak in the context of preserving pineapple in terms of teacher performance is in the very good category. The implementation of problem-based learning type Eggen and Kauchak in the context of preserving pineapples in terms of student performance in the aspects of problem solving, student attitudes and skills are categorized as very good. Improved understanding of students' concepts after learning is divided into three groups, namely the high, medium, low categories.
