Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi dengan ketersediaan sarana pengembangan diri dalam bidang seni teater di tsekolah dasar yang masih jarang ditemui padahal dengan adanya ekstrakulikuler teater ,minat dan bakat anak bisa tersalurkan untuk mencapai tujuan hidupnya. Tidak dapat disangkal lagi bahwa untuk mencapai tujuan dalam hidup manusia membutuhkan percaya diri, namun permasalahannya banyak orang yang tidak memiliki rasa percaya diri meski pandai secara akademik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu menggambarkan tentang pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler teater di SDN Melong Mandiri 1. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui relevansi program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler teater yang ada di SDN Melong Mandiri 1 ini dengan pengembangan rasa percaya diri siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang pelatih ekstrakulikuler teater, 45 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler teater, 2 orang tua siswa dan 3 walikelas. Sedangkan objek dari penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler teater di SDN Melong Mandiri 1.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumenter. Adapun teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengambilsan kesimpulan secara induktif, yakni menggunakan data bersifat umum kemudian dari data-data ditarik kesimpulan yang bersifat khusus.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya relevansi program ekstrakulikuler teater dengan pengembangan rasa percaya diri siswa sekolah dasar. It cannot be denied that achieving goals in human life requires self-confidence, but the problem is that many people do not have self-confidence even though they are academically smart. This research is a field research that uses qualitative methods that describe the implementation of theater extracurricular activities at SDN Melong Mandiri 1. The purpose of this study is to determine the relevance of the theater extracurricular activity program at SDN Melong Mandiri 1 with the development of self-confidence of school students. basic. The subjects in this study were 3 theater extracurricular trainers, 45 students who took part in theater extracurricular activities, 2 parents and 3 class teachers. While the object of this research is the implementation of theater extracurricular activities at SDN Melong Mandiri 1. Data collection techniques used in this study are interview, observation, and documentary techniques. The data processing techniques used are data reduction, data display and data verification, which are then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis, with inductive conclusions, namely using general data and then drawing specific conclusions from the data. The results of this study indicate that there is the relevance of the theater extracurricular program with the development of self-confidence of elementary school students.
