Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh penggunaan bahan ajar buku sebagai satu-satunya sumber belajar peserta didik kelas IV di SD Negeri Margaasih yang terletak di Kabupaten Bandung Barat.. Hal ini berdampak antusiasme peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, pembelajaran kurang menarik, dan menjadi kurang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan analisis kesesuaian bahan ajar Matematika yang digunakan dengan kurikulum dan karakteristik peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni jenis penelitian kualitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan yakni data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil studi observasi bahan ajar yang digunakan dan dokumentasi yang meliputi kurikulum sekolah, dokumen bahan ajar yang digunakan, dan tanggapan guru sebagai pengguna bahan ajar tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan masih belum dapat memaksimal peserta didik dalam melakukan proses belajar dan peserta didik masih belum dapat mengkonstruksi materi secara mandiri. Dengan demikian diharapkan analisis ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru maupun pihak terkait agar dapat menggunakan bahan ajar yang bervariasi demi keberlangsungan kegiatan belajar mengajar yang baik. ANALYSIS OF CLASS IV MATHEMATICS TEACHING MATERIALS IN BASIC SCHOOL, WEST BANDUNG DISTRICT By Deni Yusuf 1303830 ABSTARCT This research is motivated by the use of book teaching materials as the only learning resource for grade IV students at SD Negeri Margaasih, located in West Bandung Regency. This has an impact on the enthusiasm of students in learning, learning is less attractive, and becomes less effective. The purpose of this study was to describe the analysis of the suitability of the mathematics teaching materials used with the curriculum and the characteristics of the fourth grade elementary school students. The research method used is qualitative research. The type of data used is qualitative data obtained from the results of an observation study of the teaching materials used and documentation covering the school curriculum, documents of teaching materials used, and teacher responses as users of the teaching materials. The results of this study are that the teaching materials used are still not able to maximize students in carrying out the learning process and students are still unable to construct the material independently. Thus it is hoped that this analysis can be a reference for teachers and related parties in order to use a variety of teaching materials for the continuity of good teaching and learning activities.
