Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya indikasi gejala psikologis homesickness pada santri di lingkungan pesantren. Santri yang meninggalkan rumah dan menetap di lingkungan baru memiliki kemungkinan mengalami homesickness. Homesickness merupakan reaksi kompleks dari adanya perpisahan santri dengan lingkungan asal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran gejala-gejala psikologis homesickness pada santri di lingkungan pesantren dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi berkembangnya homesickness pada santri di lingkungan pesantren. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua orang santri kelas VII SMP Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putri Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian terhadap dua orang santri kelas VII SMP Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putri Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 menunjukkan terdapat gejala-gejala psikologis homesickness pada aspek kognitif, emosional, fisik, dan perilaku. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi homesickness pada dua santri di lingkungan pesantren yang mengalami homesickness yaitu pengalaman sebelumnya, pola asuh keluarga, kepribadian santri, dan perilaku santri di lingkungan baru. Rekomendasi hasil penelitian berupa rancangan layanan konseling individual cognitive behavioral therapy untuk mengurangi gejala homesickness pada santri di lingkungan pesantren. Kata Kunci: Homesickness, Pesantren, Konseling Cognitive Behavioral Therapy The research is based on indications of psychological symptoms of homesickness in students in islamic boarding schools. Students who leave home to settle in a new environments are likely to experience homesickness. Homesickness was a complex reaction from separation of students from their familiar environment. The research chaimed in obtainingan overview of the psychological symptoms of homesickness in students islamic boarding school and the factors that influence of homesickness in students islamic boarding school. The research subject consisted of two students of VII grade Female Junior High School Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung in the Academic Year 2019/2020. The research approach used was a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data collection methods used were interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the research in two students of VII grade Female Junior High School Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung in the Academic Year 2019/2020 showed psychological symptoms of homesickness in cognitive, emotional, physical, and behavioral aspects. Factors affecting homesickness in two students in boarding schools who experienced homesickness were experiences before, parenting style, personality, and behavior in a new environment. Recommendations from the research was in the form of a design of counseling individual cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce the symptoms of homesickness in students.
