Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemunculan dan keruntutan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik yaitu mengamati, menanya, mencoba, menalar, dan mengomunikasikan pada buku tematik terpadu Kurikulum 2013 khusus pada muatan pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Objek penelitian yaitu Buku Tematik Terpadu Kurikulum 2013 Kelas VI Semester 1 Edisi Revisi 2018. Kemunculan dan keruntutan kegiatan 5M diungkap dengan identifikasi kegiatan-kegiatan pembelajaran IPA dalam buku siswa berdasarkan indikator dari setiap tahap pendekatan saintifik. Hasil dari analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua kegiatan 5M muncul pada kelima tema. Kegiatan mengamati, mencoba dan mengkomunikasikan muncul pada setiap tema, sedangkan kegiatan menanya muncul pada tema 5. Kegiatan menalar muncul pada tema 3, 4 dan 5. Selain itu, keruntutan kegiatan 5M hanya ditemukan pada tema 5. Kegiatan 5M dalam buku bersifat parsial karena satu tahapan tidak berhubungan dengan tahapan lainnya. Sehingga pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran IPA belum terlaksana secara optimal ----- The objective of this study is to determine the emergence and sequence of learning activities with a scientific approach perspective, which are observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating (5M) on the Curriculum 2013 integrated thematic books specifically on the science content. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The object was the 2013 Curriculum Thematic Integrated Thematic Books for class VI at Semester 1 2018 Revised Edition. The emergence and sequence of the 5M activities were revealed by the identification of science lessons activities in student books based on the five indicators. The results of this study showed that not all activities of 5M appear on all five themes. The observing, experimenting, and communicating activities appear on each theme, while the questioning activities appear on themes 5. The associating activities appear on themes 3, 4 and 5. Also, the sequence of 5M activities were only found on theme 5. 5M activities in the book partially appeared because one stage was not related to other stages. It can be concluded that the scientific approach in science lessons had not been implemented optimally.
