Abstract

Degradasi moral anak bangsa dapat diamati dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bandung Masagi hadir sebagai inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan untuk menanamkan nilai karakter berbasis kearifan lokal, berdasarkan pada filosofi Sunda Silih Asih, Silih Asah, Silih Asuh dan Silih Wawangi. Bandung Masagi lahir di tanah Sunda, sehingga lebih kuat lagi apabila konsep Bandung Masagi itu didukung dengan buku bacaan yang tepat bagi siswa sekolah dasar yang ada di Jawa Barat. Maka dari itu, penulis merasa tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai relevansi buku Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan program pendidikan karakter Bandung Masagi di sekolah dasar. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Oleh karena itu, penulis hendak menjelaskan hasil analisis buku terhadap Bandung Masagi dengan melibatkan 4 narasumber melalui wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) cerita yang terdapat di buku memiliki struktur yang baik untuk penyampaian nilai-nilai karakter; (2) program Bandung Masagi terbukti memiliki urgensi namun masih terdapat kendala dan solusinya; (3) beberapa karakter yang kurang baik harus didampingi dengan penjelasan guru diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: Cerita Rakyat, Pendidikan Karakter, Bandung Masagi, Sekolah Dasar Moral degradation of the nation’s children can be observed in daily life. Bandung Masagi exists as an innovation in education to instill character values based on local wisdom, based on the Sundanese philosophy of Silih Asih, Silih Asah, Silih Asuh, and Silih Wawangi. Bandung Masagi was born in Sundanese land, so it will be even stronger if the Bandung Masagi concept is supported by literary books that are suitable for elementary school students in West Java. Therefore, the author felt drawn to the study of the relevance of folklore of West Java with the Bandung Masagi character education program at elementary school. In this reasearch, the author uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Hence, the author wants to explain the results of the analysis of the book by involving several 4 sources through interviews and library research. Research indicates that: (1) stories found in books have good structure for expressing character values; (2) the Bandung Masagi program is evident to have urgently but there are still obstacles and solutions; (3) most of the characters emerge are good and can strengthen children character, but a few character which were not good should accompanied by teacher explanation in implemented in daily live.
