Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dalam aktivitas organisasi yaitu (1) tingkat antusias dan partisipasi mahasiswa terhadap organisasi masih rendah; (2) peran organisasi kemahasiswaan belum dirasakan oleh seluruh mahasiswa. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) bagaimana Persepsi mahasiswa mengenai politik di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ?, (2)tipe budaya politik apa yang tercermin di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia?, (3)apa faktor–faktor yang menghambat kegiatan mahasiswa ke arah terbentuknya budaya politik mahasiwa ?, (4) apa upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan kegiatan mahasiswa ke arah terbentuknya budaya politik mahasiswa?Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dengan menggunakan metode ini penulis dapat mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan budaya politik mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data dan informasi dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Adapun lokasi penelitian penulis mengambil Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dan Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah aktivis mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) budaya politik mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia mencerminkan atau merefleksikan budaya masyarakat akademik dengan mengembangkan kebebasan berfikir, keterbukaan, berpikir kritis dan rasional serta inovatif ;(2) Persepsi mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia memandang politik sebagai wahana untuk belajar berorganisasi dalam wadah organisasi kemahasiswaan yang didasari oleh nilai-nilai moral dan intelektual; (3) Tipe budaya politik mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia adalah cenderung parokial-partisipan dengan karakteristik partisipasi mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan organisasi kemahasiswaan di tingkat Jurusan cenderung tinggi sedangkan di tingkat Universitas cenderung rendah,orientasi mahasiswa cenderung lebih mementingkan akademik daripada mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan; (4) Pengembangan budaya politik mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dihadapkan pada hambatan-hambatan yaitu penyebarluasan informasi kegiatan kemahasiswaan belum intensif, orientasi mahasiswa yang masih cenderung lebih mementingkan akademik daripada mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan dan proses perizinan dan pencairan dana kegiatan kemahasiwaan yang terlalu rumit; (5) Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan Pengembangan budaya politik mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yaitu menginformasikan setiap kegiatan melalui spanduk, pamflet dan media sosial, membuat kegiatan yang menarik kreatif, inovatif serta memperbaiki pola komunikasi dengan mengadakan evaluasi pasca kegiatan dan Universitas memberikan beasiswa bagi mahasiswa yang aktif dalam berorganisasi. Kata kunci : Budaya Politik, Mahasiswa. Abstract This research is motivated by problems in the Indonesian Education University student organization activities , namely ( 1 ) the level of student enthusiasm and participation of the organization is low, ( 2 ) the role of student organizations has not been felt by the entire student body . The problems of this study are ( 1 ) how student perceptions about politics in Indonesia University of Education ? , ( 2 ) what type of political culture is reflected in the University of Indonesia ? , ( 3 ) what are the factors that inhibit the activity of students towards a culture of student politics ? , ( 4 ) what efforts are being made to overcome barriers to student activities towards a culture of student politics ? In this study the authors used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods . By using this method the author can describe or depict the political culture of Indonesian Education University student . Data collection techniques and information through interviews , observation , documentation studies , and literature . The location of the study authors took the Indonesian Education University and Subjects in this study were student activists Indonesia University of Education . The findings of this study were ( 1 ) the political culture Indonesia University of Education students reflect or reflect the academic community to develop a culture of freedom of thought , openness , critical thinking and rational and innovative ; ( 2 ) Perception Indonesia University of Education students view politics as a vehicle for learning to organize in container based student organization that values moral and intellectual , (3 ) type of political culture Indonesia University of Education student is parochial - participants tend to follow the characteristics of student participation in student organization activities tend to be high -level courses while at university level tends to be low , orientation students tend to be more concerned than following academic student activities , (4 ) development of a political culture Indonesia University of Education student faced obstacles that dissemination of information is not an intensive student activities , orientation of students still tend to be more concerned than following academic student activities and the licensing process and disbursement kemahasiwaan fund activities that are too complex , (5 ) the efforts made to overcome the cultural barriers Development Indonesia University of Education student politics which informs every activity through banners , pamphlets and social media , create interesting activities creative , innovative and to improve communication with the holding pattern post evaluation of the activities and the University provides scholarships for students who are active in the organization.
