Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul “Perkembangan Kesenian Tari Ronggeng Kedempling di Kabupaten Majalengka Tahun 2000-2018”. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah dinamika yang terjadi pada kesenian tari Ronggeng Kedempling kurun waktu tahun 2000-2018, faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat perkembangan tari Ronggeng Kedempling dan upaya para seniman serta pemerintah daerah dalam melestarikan kesenian tari Ronggeng Kedempling. Pada tahun 2000-2018, ada upaya revitalisasi kesenian ini yang mulanya vakum dan tidak dikenal masyarakat menjadi salah satu ikon Kabupaten Majalengka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis yang terdiri dari heuristik, kritik sumber, dan historiografi serta dibantu oleh ilmu interdisipliner yaitu ilmu Sosiologi dan ilmu Antropologi. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur, studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, kesenian tari Ronggeng Kedempling merupakan kesenian tradisional mengalami perubahan dan penyesuaian akibat perubahan sosial pada masyarakat pendukungnya. Perubahan komponen pendukung pada kesenian ini merupakan hasil kreasi dan inovasi dari para seniman. Berbagai upaya pelestarian telah dilakukan agar kesenian ini dapat bertahan terhadap kondisi zaman yang selalu berubah. Adapun upaya pelestarian dari para seniman dengan melakukan pewarisan, pembelajaran tari Ronggeng Kedempling di sanggar maupun di sekolah dan kegiatan dalam pembuatan rekor muri. Sedangkan upaya pelestarian dari pemerintah daerah yaitu mengadakan pewarisan Ronggeng Kedempling, workshop seni dan memberikan ruang pertunjukan. ABSTRACT The thesis was titled "Development of the Ronggeng Kedempling Dance Art in Majalengka Regency Years 2000-2018". The problems discussed in this research are the dynamics that took place in the dance art of Ronggeng Kedempling in the period of 2000-2018, a factor that supports and inhibits the progression of Ronggeng Kedempling dance and the efforts of the artists and local governments in preserving the dance art of Ronggeng Kedempling. In 2000-2018, there was a revitalization effort that initially vacuum and unknown to the community became one of the icons of Majalengka Regency. The methods used in this research are the historical methods consisting of heuristics, criticism of sources, and historiography and assisted by the Interdisciplinary science of Sociology and the sciences of Anthropology. While data collection techniques are carried out through literature studies, documentation studies and interviews. Based on the findings, the dance art of Ronggeng Kedempling is the traditional art of changing and adjusting due to social change in its supporting community. The change of supporting components in this art is the result of the creation and innovation of the artists. Various conservation efforts have been made so that the arts can withstand the conditions of ever-changing times. The efforts of preservation of the artists by conducting inheritance, learning dance Ronggeng Kedempling in the workshop and in school and activities in the creation of Muri record. While the preservation efforts of the local government is to hold the devolution activities Ronggeng Kedempling, art workshops and give a performance space.
