Abstract

Prestasi akademik peserta didik merupakan salah satu tolok ukur keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Terdapat dua aspek eksternal penting dalam menunjang penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang berkualitas, yaitu kualitas interaksi yang terjadi di dalam keluarga dan status sosial ekonomi. Kedua aspek tersebut selanjutnya menjadi variabel yang dihipotesiskan dalam penelitian ini yang diduga memberikan pengaruh terhadap pencapaian prestasi akademik siswa. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa di SMA BPI 1 Kota Bandung dengan fokus pada kelas XII IPA dan IPS. Sampel diambil secara random sampling terhadap kelas XII tersebut dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 60 orang. Data diambil dengan tiga cara, menggunakan angket, data sekunder dan dokumentasi prestasi. Angket diperuntukan mengukur kualitas interaksi dalam keluarga, data sekunder status sosial ekonomi diperoleh dari pihak sekolah berupa data dari Dapodik (Data Pokok Pendidikan), sedangkan dokumentasi prestasi diperoleh dari pihak sekolah berupa nilai prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian yang pertama ditemukan bahwa pada kualitas interaksi dalam keluarga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan untuk terciptanya prestasi akademik siswa. Dukungan keluarga dalam bentuk fasilitas yang baik terhadap anak akan mampu meningkatkan prestasi akademiknya. Kedua, diketahui bahwa kualitas interaksi dalam keluarga tidak dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh status sosial ekonomi. Dalam hal ini, status sosial ekonomi bukan merupakan satu-satunya aspek penting dalam menentukan kualitas interaksi dalam keluarga. Terakhir, kualitas interaksi dalam keluarga dan status sosial ekonomi secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. There are two important external aspects in supporting the implementation of quality education, namely the quality of interactions that occur in the family and socioeconomic status. These two aspects further become variables that are hypothesized in this study which allegedly affects the achievement of students’ academic achievements. The research was conducted to students at SMA BPI 1 Bandung City with a focus on the class XII IPA and IPS. Samples were taken on a random basis against the XII class and obtained a sample of 60 people. Data is captured in three ways, using polls, secondary data and performance documentation. Questionnaire is intended to measure the quality of interaction in the family, secondary data of socioeconomic status obtained from the school in the form of data from Dapodik (Data Pokok Pendidikan), while the achievement documentation obtained from the school in the form of academic achievement value. The first research results were found that at the quality of interactions in the family had a significant influence for the creation of students’ academic achievements. Family support in the form of good facilities to the child will be able to improve his academic performance. Secondly, it is known that the quality of interactions in families is not significantly influenced by socioeconomic status. In this regard, socioeconomic status is not the only important aspect of determining the quality of interactions in the family. Lastly, the quality of interaction in the family and socioeconomic status jointly affects the students’ academic achievements.
