Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh ditemukannya permasalahan yang berhubungan dengan belum berkembangnya sikap percaya diri anak karena stimulus yang kurang optimal. Selain itu di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini perlunya inovasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru, sehingga pembelajaran di rumah bisa menyenangkan dan tetap bisa mengembangkan berbagai aspek perkembangan anak khususnya sikap percaya diri. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan inovasi dalam mengembangkan sikap percaya diri anak adalah model STEAM Project Based Learning, karena model pembelajaran ini dapat membuat anak terlibat aktif dan menyentuh tiga ranah yaitu sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan mengidentifikasi level perkembangan sikap percaya diri anak selama pembelajaran STEAM Project Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Mix Method desain Concurrent Embedded dengan 4 partisipan yang merupakan anak suai 5-6 tahun di desa Wanayasa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menyatakan bahwa proses penerapan model STEAM Project Based Learning untuk mengembangkan sikap percaya diri anak menggunakan lima langkah, yaitu Reflection, Research, Discovery, application, dan Communication. Sikap percaya diri anak setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran STEAM Project Based Learning menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, pada tahap I 100% anak (MB) lalu pada tahap II meningkat menjadi 75% anak (BSH) dan pada tahap III 25% anak (BSB). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, model STEAM Project Based Learning dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini khususnya anak usia 5-6 tahun dan dapat meningkatkan perkembangan sikap percaya diri anak. This Research is in the background by the Discovery of problems related to the development of the child's self-confidence because of the less optimal stimulus. In addition, in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic It is necessary to innovate the learning that teachers do, so the learning at home can be enjoyable and can still develop various aspects of child development, especially the attitude of self-confidence. One of the learning models that can be used as innovation in developing child's self-confidence is the STEAM Project Based Learning model, because this learning model can make children actively involved and touch three domains that are attitudes, knowledge, and skills. This Research aims to describe the process and identify the level of child's self-confidence progression during the STEAM Project Based Learning. The Research method used in this study is the Mix Method of Concurrent Embedded design with 4 participants which is a 5-6 year old child in the village of Wanayasa. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study stated that the process of application STEAM Project Based Learning model to develop the child's self-confidence using five steps, namely Reflection, Research, Discovery, application, and Communication. The child's self-confidence after the learning model of STEAM Project Based Learning showed an increase, at the stage I 100% of the child (MB) and then at stage II increased to 75% of children (BSH) and at stage III 25% of children (BSB). Based on the results of the Research, STEAM model Project Based Learning can be used in early childhood learning especially children aged 5-6 years and can improve the development of children's self-confidence.
