Abstract

Sering kita temukan pembelajaran konvensional yang masih tidak dapat memotivasi siswa secara maksimal, sebagian besar peserta didik hanya duduk dan mendengarkan, lebih mirisnya lagi ada beberapa siswa-siswa yang jarang berkomunikasi secara diam bersama teman sekelasnya. siswa hanya duduk, mendengarkan, diam dan jarang berkomunikasi tersebut belum tentu mengerti materi yang diajarkan oleh guru dikelas. Hal ini yang melatar belakangi peneliti untuk membantu memperbaiki pembelajaran dan mengajar melalui model Problem Based Instruction (PBI). Penggunaan treatment ini atau PBI bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak positif yang timbul baik dalam aktifitas maupun hasil belajar siswa saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas sesuai dengan pendapat Mc Taggart, tahapan setiap siklusnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Temuan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 52,38% mencapai ketuntasan pada perlakuan siklus 1 yang terlihat belum memuaskan siswa pun belum bisa melaksanakan kerjasama dalam belajar yang diakibatkan dari guru kurangnya menumbuhkan minat siswa-siswi dalam belajar. Setelah siklus 1 penliti melakukan tindakan melalui siklus 2 yang menghasilkan perkembangan dan mengalami perbaikan dalam hasil belajar menggunakan model PBI dengan hasil belajar sebesar 67%. Peneliti melakukan tindakan kelas melalui siklus ke-3 yang menghasilkan aktivitas guru dan siswa berkembang dan mengalami sebuah perubahan besar ketuntasan yang dihasilkan yaitu sebesar 85.7%. Dengan data tersebut dapat dibuktikan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Instruction dikatakan berhasil dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Often we find conventional learning that still can't motivate students to the maximum, most students just sit and listen, and there are some students who rarely communicate silently with their classmates. Students just sit, listen, shut up and rarely communicate, not necessarily understand the material taught by teachers in class. This is what researchers background to help improve learning and teaching through the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model. The use of this treatment or PBI aims to know the positive impact that arises in both the activities and learning outcomes of students during the learning. In this study using a method that is Class Action Research in accordance with Mc Taggart's opinion, the stages of each cycle are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The findings obtained from this study are that there are 52.38% achieving completeness in cycle 1 treatment that does not seem to satisfy students who have not been able to carry out cooperation in learning resulting from teachers lacking the interest of students in learning. After cycle 1 the penliti performs action through cycle 2 which results in development and improvement in learning results using the PBI model with a study yield of 67%. Researchers performed class actions through the 3rd cycle resulting in teacher and student activity developing and experiencing a major change in completeness resulting in 85.7%. With this data can be proven that the implementation of problem based instruction model is said to be successful and improve student learning outcomes.
