Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang kemampuanberpikir kritis siswa sebagai respon terhadap Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan strategi what-if-not. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Pangkalpinang, kelas X, semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatitf. Pada setiap tahapan dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan strategi what-if-not dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pada tahap mengamati siswa dapat memfokuskan pertanyaan sesuai dengan indikator dari berpikir kritis. Pada tahap menanya yang menggunakan strategi what-if-not dapat mengembangkan metakognisi siswa sehingga siswa sadar untuk memulai pikirannya dalam menyusun pertanyaan yang sejalan dengan proses berpikir kritis yaitu dapat mempertanyakan cara berpikirnya dan kebenaran logika dari cara berpikir masing-masing siswa. Pada tahap mengumpulkan informasi siswa dapat menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi yang merupakan indikator dari berpikir kritis. Selanjutnya, pada tahap mengasosiasikan atau menalar yang disertai strategi what-if-not indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang memenuhi adalah menjawab disertai alasan yang tepat. Pada tahap mengkomunikasikan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dapat terbentuk adalah menyimpulkan. This study aims to obtain an overview of students' critical thinking skills in response to Student Worksheets (LKS) through a scientific approach with a what-if-not strategy. This research was conducted at one of the public high schools in Pangkalpinang, class X, even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. At each stage in learning mathematics through a scientific approach with a what-if-not strategy can develop students' critical thinking skills. At the observing stage students can focus on questions according to the indicators of critical thinking. At the questioning stage using the what-if-not strategy can develop students' metacognition so that students are aware of starting their thoughts in compiling questions that are in line with the critical thinking process, namely being able to question their way of thinking and the logical truth of each student's way of thinking. At the stage of gathering information students can induce and consider the results of the induction which are indicators of critical thinking. Furthermore, at the stage of associating or reasoning accompanied by a what-if-not strategy, an indicator of the critical thinking ability that fulfills is to answer with the right reasons. At the stage of communicating the critical thinking ability indicators that can be formed are conclusions.
