Abstract

Pembelajaran soal cerita matematika merupakan penerapan pembelajaran matematika dalam kehidupan, maka pembelajaran soal pemecahan masalah matematika pada siswa sekolah dasar merupakan hal penting. Seringkali siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam penyelesaian soal dengan bentuk cerita atau narasi terkhusus dalam materi pecahan, dikarenakan dalam penyelesaian soal cerita memerlukan beberapa tahap untuk menyelesaikannya, mulai dari memahami, mentransformasikan, menghitung berdasarkan konsep matematika yang sesuai, baru mendapatkan hasil akhir, apalagi ditambah degan soal cerita materi pecahan, dimana operasi hitung dalam pecahan berbeda dengan operasi hitung pada bilangan biasa. Dalam pecahan terdapat aturan-aturan sendiri dalam mengoperasikannya. Dari banyaknya tahap yang dilakukan dalam penyelesaian soal cerita materi pecahan, banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan yang dialami siswa pada penyelesaian soal cerita pecahan , faktor penyebab, serta solusinya. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan metode penelitian analisis isi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Karangwangi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunukan beberapa fakta mengenai kesulitan yang dialami siswa dan faktor penyebabnya pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Karangwangi yaitu, kesulitan membaca, memahami, mentransformasikan soal, keterampilan proses, dan yang terakhir adalah kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Untuk faktor penyebabnya, ditemukan 3 faktor umum yang mengakibatkan siswa mengalami kesulitan yaitu, tidak memahami isi soal, tidak memahami konsep matematika dan operasi hitung dalam pecahan, serta tidak teliti dan tergesa-gesa. Learning math story questions is the application of learning mathematics in life, so learning math problem solving problems in elementary school students is important. Often students have difficulty solving problems in the form of a story or narrative, especially in fraction material, because solving a story problem requires several stages to complete, starting from understanding, transforming, calculating based on the appropriate mathematical concept, then getting the final result, let alone adding the problem. the story of the subject of fractions, where the arithmetic operation in fractions is different from the arithmetic operation in ordinary numbers. In fractions there are own rules for operating them. Of the many steps carried out in solving fraction material story questions, many students experienced difficulties. The research conducted aims to identify the difficulties experienced by students in solving fraction story questions, causal factors, and solutions. In this study using a qualitative research approach and content analysis research methods. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Karangwangi. Based on the results of this study, there are several facts about the difficulties experienced by students and the contributing factors to the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Karangwangi, namely, difficulties in reading, understanding, transforming questions, process skills, and error in writing the final answer. There were 3 general factors that caused students to experience difficulties, namely, not understanding the contents of the questions, not understanding mathematical concepts and counting operations in fractions, and not being careful and hasty.
