Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena perlu adanya analisis dan kajian secara lebih mendalam tentang permasalahan kemampuan pemahaman bacaan dari cerita fiksi anak pada siswa di kelas VI SDN Tegalmandor. Tujuannya adalah untuk (1) mengetahui kemampuan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak; (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak, dan (3) bagaimana solusi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi kesulitan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus. Subjeknya adalah siswa kelas VI SDN Tegalmandor yang mengalami kesulitan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan siswa memiliki kemampuan dari membaca pemahaman cerita jenis fiksi anak dibawah 55%. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu (1) kemampuan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak pada siswa kelas VI SDN Tegalmandor sangat kurang. (2) faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi anak pada siswa SDN Tegalmandor adalah faktor psikologis, intelektual dan lingkungan. (3) solusi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu dengan memperbaiki setiap faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan dimulai dalam diri menuju hal yang berada diluar diri siswa agar seimbang. This research is motivated because a need for more in-depth analysis and study of problems about reading comprehension ability of children fiction story in sixth grade of Elementary School students. The purpose are (1) know the reading comprehension ability of children fiction story in the sixth grade of Elementary School. (2) know the factors that cause difficult reading comprehension ability of children fiction story in the sixth grade of Tegalmandor Elementary School students. (3) how solutions that can be applied to overcome that difficult reading comprehension ability of children fiction stories in the sixth grade of Tegalmandor Elementary School students. The research uses a case study method. The subject were sixth grade of Tegalmandor Elementary School students who had difficulty reading comprehension ability of children fiction story. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis are namely data reduction, data display and conclusion or verification. The data validation is triangulation. The results showed that students have of reading comprehension ability of children fiction story under 55%. The conclusions this research are (1) reading comprehension ability of children fiction story in the sixth grade of Tegalmandor Elementary School still very lacking. (2) factors that cause difficulty reading comprehension ability of children fiction story in the sixth grade of Tegalmandor Elementary School students are psychological factors, intellectual and environmental. (3) solutions that can be applied in overcoming difficulty of reading comprehension ability of children fiction story namely by improving each factors that causes difficulty starting from within towards things outside of students to be balanced.
