Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PERMAINAN LEARNING SKILL WITH RESSA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA TUNAGRAHITA SEDANG KELAS TIGA DI SLB HANJUANG JAYA (Aulia Qisthi, 1606535) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media permainan Learning Skill with Ressa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa tunagrahita sedang kelas tiga di SLB Hanjuang Jaya. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan karena apabila siswa tidak dilatih maka akan kesulitan pada tahap membaca selanjutnya dan akan kesulitan mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research (SSR). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu desain A-B-A’. Subjek penelitian merupakan seorang siswa tunagrahita sedang kelas tiga di SLB Hanjuang Jaya. Pengumpulan data dengan cara melakukan tes kepada siswa menggunakan instrumen mengenal dan membaca huruf abjad. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif dan ditampilkan dalam bentul grafik dan tabel. Komponen yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa setelah diintervensi menggunakan media permainan Learning Skill with Ressa. Pengaruh positif ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan mean level dari ketiga fase. Mulai dari fase baseline-1 (A1) dengan mean level 26,28 persen, fase intervensi (B) sebesar 56,72 persen, dan fase baseline-2 (A2) sebesar 78,2 persen. Kemudian, besarnya pengaruh intervensi menggunakan media permainan Learning Skill with Ressa dapat dilihat dari persentase overlap. Semakin kecil persentase overlap¸ maka semakin baik pengaruh intervensi. Hasil persentase overlap sebesar 16,67 persen. Dengan demikian media permainan Learning Skill with Ressa mempengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa tunagrahita sedang di SLB Hanjuang Jaya sebesar 83,33 persen. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF USING GAME MEDIA LEARNING SKILL WITH RESSA ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF PRE-READING ABILITY OF THIRD GRADE INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY STUDENT AT SLB HANJUANG JAYA (Aulia Qisthi, 1606535) This research aims to determine the effect of using the game media Learning Skill with Ressa on the improvement of the pre-reading ability of third grade intellectual disability student at SLB Hanjuang Jaya. This research needs to be done because if student isn’t trained, it will be difficult at the next reading stage and student will have difficulties to following the other learning processes. This research is an experimental that using the Single Subject Research (SSR) approach. The research design used is the A-B-A 'design. The subject is a third grade intellectual disability student at SLB Hanjuang Jaya. Researcher collected datas by doing tests on students using instruments of recognize and read the alphabet. The obtained datas were analyzed through descriptive statistics and displayed in graphs and tables. The analysis components are in condition and between condition. The results showed that there was a positive influence on the improvement of student’s pre-reading abilities after being intervened by using the game media Learning Skill with Ressa. The positive effect is indicated by an increase in the mean level of the three phases. Starting from the baseline-1 (A1) with a mean level 26.28 percen, the intervention phase (B) 56.72 percen, and the baseline-2 (A2) phase 78.2 percen. Then, the magnitude of the influence of the intervention using the game media Learning Skill with Ressa can be seen from the overlap percentage. The smaller overlap percentage means the better intervention effect. The result of the overlap percentage is 16.67 percen. Thus the game media Learning Skill with Ressa affects the improvement of the pre-reading ability of third grade intellectual disability student at SLB Hanjuang Jaya by 83.33 percen.
