Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi bersama wali kelas pada pembelajaran tematik yang dilakukan di kelas IV SDN Cikampek Utara II Kabupaten Karawang. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran peneliti menemukan bahwa masih kurang aktifnya siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran di kelas sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Beberapa siswa yang pasif membuat suasana pembelajaran hanya bersifat satu arah. Pada saat ini Sekolah Dasar menggunakan kurikulum 2013, kurikulum ini menggunakan pendekatan saintifik atau tematik terpadu yang mengharuskan siswa bersifat aktif. Hal-hal yang telah diungkapkan di atas harus ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan atau model pembelajaran yang tepat. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dirasa mampu memperbaiki hasil belajar siswa adalah dengan menerapkan model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran tematik setelah diterapkannya model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang di dalamnya terdiri dari tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 23 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes, lembar observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan temuan pada saat penelitian diantaranya 1) aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat pada setiap siklusnya, aktivitas belajar pada siklus pertama diperoleh 64%, peningkatan aktivitas belajar pada siklus kedua sebesar 82%, dan peningkatan aktivitas belajar pada siklus ketiga sebesar 91%; 2) hasil belajar siswa meningkat pada setiap siklusnya, presentase ketuntasan hasil belajar pada siklus pertama diperoleh 43%, peningkatan presentase ketuntasan hasil belajar pada siklus kedua mencapai 78%, peningkatan presentase ketuntasan hasil belajar pada siklus ketiga mencapai 100% dan sudah mencapai presentase yang diharapkan pada penelitian ini. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy pada pembelajaran tematik di Sekolah Dasar. This research is motivated by the results of observations conducted with the homeroom teacher on thematic learning carried out in class IV of SDN Cikampek Utara II Karawang Regency. In learning activities, the researchers find that students are still less active during the learning process in class, so that cause the results of student learning are not optimal. Some passive students cause the learning atmosphere to become only one-way. At this time Elementary School uses the 2013 curriculum, where the curriculum uses a scientific approach or thematic integrated that requires students to be active. The things that have been disclosed above must be improved by using an approach or learning model of the right. One of the learning models that are perceived to be able to repair student learning outcomes is to apply the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually models. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in thematic learning after the application of the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually models. This study uses a type of Classroom Action Research in which consists of three cycles. The research subjects were 23 students. The instruments used in this study were tests, observation sheets, and interviews. Based on the findings the time of study includes 1) student learning activities increased in each cycle, learning activities in the first cycle obtained 64%, increased learning activities in the second cycle by 82%, and increased in learning activities in the third cycle by 91%; 2) student learning outcomes increases in each cycle, the percentage of learning outcomes completeness in the first cycle obtained 43%, increase the percentage of learning outcomes completeness in the second cycle reaches 78%, increased percentage of learning outcomes completeness in the third cycle reaches 100% and has reached the expected percentage in this study. The results of this study conclude that there is an increase in student learning outcomes during the learning process through the application of the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually models to thematic learning in Elementary Schools.
