Abstract

Koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa agar mampu mencapai tingkat berpikir yang lebih tinggi dan dikembangkam oleh setiap siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dan mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa ditinjau berdasarkan setiap indikator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian analisis deskriptif kualitatif dimana setiap hasil tes kemampuan koneksi matematis akan dideskripsikan secara lebih jelas dan cermat dalam menyelesaikan soal. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 15 siswa kelas V disalah satu Sekolah Dasar Kabupaten Karawang. Proses pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrument yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu lembar tes kemampuan koneksi matematis, pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa adalah sebagai berikut: (a) 3 siswa termasuk dalam kategori “tinggi”; (b) 4 siswa termasuk dalam kategori “sedang”; (c) 8 siswa termasuk dalam kategori “rendah”; (2) kemampuan koneksi matematis ditinjau tiap indikator: (a) Siswa yang telah mencapai indikator koneksi antar topic matematika dengan presentase sebesar 56,67 %; (b) Siswa yang telah mencapai indikator koneksi antar displin ilmu lain dengan presentase sebesar 20%; (d) siswa yang telah mencapai indikator koneksi antar kehidupan sehari-hari dengan presentase sebesar 16,67 %. Kata kunci : Kemampuan koneksi matematis, volume kubus dan balok. A mathematical connection is one of the abilities that students must have to be able to achieve higher levels of thinking and be developed by each student. The study aims to determine the ability of mathematical connections of students and to know the ability of mathematical connections of students reviewed based on each indicator. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis study where each mathematical connection capability test results will be described more clearly and thoroughly in resolving the problem. The subject of this study amounted to 15 students, one of the primary schools in Karawang district. The process of collecting the data used is tess, interviews, and documentation. The Instrument used by the researchers is a test sheet of mathematical connection capabilities, interview guidelines, and documentation. The results of this research show that: (1) The level of student mathematical connection capability is as follows: (a) 3 students belong to the "high" category; (b) 4 students belonging to the "medium" category; (c) 8 students belonging to the "low" category; (2) Mathematical connection capability is reviewed by each indicator: (a) students who have reached the connection indicator between mathematical topic with a percentage of 56.67%; (b) Students who have achieved connection indicators among other sciences with a percentage of 20%; (d) Students who have reached a connection indicator between daily life with a percentage of 16.67%.
