Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat perlu dimiliki oleh siswa agar mampu berpikir dalam memahami masalah dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi. Sehingga peneliti melakukan penelitian mengenai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD pembelajaran IPA materi sumber energi panas. Penelitian ini ditujukan pada siswa kelas VA di SDN Sarimulya 1 dan subjek penelitian berjumlah tiga orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran IPA materi sumber energi panas serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif studi kasus. Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas V SD pada pembelajaran IPA materi sumber energi panas dari ketiga subjek penelitian termasuk dalam kriteria kurang kritis. Indikator yang paling lemah dari ketiga subjek ini adalah indikator membuat kesimpulan sedangkan indikator yang paling kuat oleh ketiga subjek pada penelitian ini adalah indikator mampu menganlisis argument/pendapat.Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis pada penelitian ini, yaitu motivasi, perkembangan intelektual, interaksi, dan metode pembelajaran. ABSTRACT Critical thinking skills really need to be possessed by students so they are familiar with the process of thinking in understanding problems and solving problems faced. So the researchers conducted research on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students learning science material heat energy sources. This study was aimed at class VA students at SDN Sarimulya 1 with a total of three research subjects. This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students in learning science subject matter of heat energy and to find out the factors that influence critical thinking skills. The research method used in this study is a qualitative case study, where the research method is more focused on cases / problems that are found in research subjects. The findings of the study show that the ability to think critically in grade V elementary school in learning science material heat energy sources from the three research subjects is included in the less critical criteria. The weakest indicators of these three subjects are indicators making conclusions and indicators able to solve problems while the strongest indicators by the three subjects in this study are indicators capable of asking questions, indicators are able to answer questions, and indicators are able to analyze arguments / opinions. Factors that influence the ability to think critically in this study, namely motivation, intellectual development, interaction, and learning methods.
