Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran dirumah menggunakan Media Televisi TVRI untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik karena adanya Covid-19. Peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran IPA dapat mengerjakan soal menggunakan media televisi TVRI dengan baik, tetapi sebagian tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Beberapa peserta didik beranggapan bahwa belajar menggunakan media televisi TVRI dirumah bersama orang tua pada awalnya menarik, tetapi lama kelamaan membuat peserta didik bosan. Hal itu terjadi karena peserta didik ingin kembali belajar normal. Peneliti melakukan tes pemahaman konsep terhadap siswa dan tes wawancara terhadap siswa, guru serta orang tua siswa mengenai kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan media televisi TVRI pada pembelajaran IPA. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan media televisi TVRI pada siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran selama kegiatan dirumah, mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menggunakan media televisi TVRI, dan mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kualitatif Deskriptif pendekatan penelitian yang dipilih adalah Studi Kasus. Desain Penelitian ini adalah Desain Kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa, 3 orang tua siswa, dan 1 guru kelas IV SDN Babakantiga. Sampel yang digunakan peneliti hanya 3 siswa, yaitu kelas IV. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran IPA dengan televisi TVRI untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas IV cukup efektif berdasarkan hasil tes pemahaman konsep dan wawancara. Kata Kunci: Analisis Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep dengan Media Televisi TVRI pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar. This research was motivated by learning at home using TVRI television media to analyze the ability of students to understand concepts due to the presence of Covid-19. Students who can understand concepts in science learning can work on problems using TVRI television media well, but some are not as expected. Some students think that learning to use TVRI television media at home with parents is initially interesting, but over time it makes students bored. This happens because students want to return to normal learning. Researchers conducted a concept understanding test for students and an interview test with students, teachers, and parents of students regarding the ability to understand concepts with TVRI television media in science learning. Based on this, the researcher analyzed the Concept Understanding Ability with TVRI Television Media for Elementary School Students. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation process of learning during activities at home, to determine the ability of students to understand concepts using TVRI television media and to determine the factors that affect the ability of students to understand concepts. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research approach chosen is a case study. The research design is qualitative. The population in this study were 3 students, 3 parents of students, and 1 grade IV teacher at the Primary School of Babakantiga. The sample used by researchers was only 3 students, namely grade IV. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the ability to understand concepts in science learning with TVRI television media for grade IV primary school students is quite effective based on the results of concept understanding tests and interviews.
