Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya stimulasi perkembangan berpikir kreatif terutama kemampuan berpikir fluency (lancar) anak di salahsatu RT yang ada di kabupaten Cirebon. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada anak usia dini penting untuk dikembangkan. Salahsatunya kemampuan berpikir fluency (lancar) agar anak dapat leluasa mengekspresikan pemikiran dan ide-ide kreatifnya dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah sehingga gagasannya menjadi lebih kaya, dan membuka lebih banyak peluang untuk mendapatkan solusikarenanya menjadi kreatif dalam segala situasi yang dihadapi. Melihat permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran melalui strategi yang lebih menarik dan efektif dalam pengembangan kemampuan berpikir fluency, yaitu melalui penerapan model pembelajaran STEAM Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang proses pembelajaran anak-anakdengan menerapkan pembelajaran proyek yang mengintegrasikan STEAM (Sains, Teknologi, Engineering, Art, and Math) dan mengidentifikasi level perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fluency sebagai dampak dari model pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixedmethods, desain concurrent embedded, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif berupa uraian tentang proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan data kuantitatif dalam bentuk persentase perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fluency anak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Partisipan yang terlibat berjumlah 5 anak yang duduk di kelompok B (usia 5-6 tahun). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, STEAM Project Based Learning mempunyai proses pembelajaran yang dapat mengidentifikasi level kemampuan berpikir fluency anak dan bahkan dapat mengembangkan level kemampuan berpikir fluencynya pada kemampuan mengajukan banyak pertanyaan, menjawab sejumlah jawaban jika ada pertanyaan, serta bekerja lebih cepat dan melakukan lebih banyak daripada anak-anak lain. This research is motivated by problem is a lack of stimulation of creative thinking development, especially fluency thinking skills of early childhood in one of RT at Cirebon regency. The fluency thinking skills of early childhood is important to develop. One of them is the fluency thinking skillsso that childrens can freely express their thoughts and creative ideas in problem solving so that their ideas become richer, and open more opportunities for get the solution because they become creative in all thesituation. Seeing these problems, it is necessary to improve the quality of learning through strategies that are more interesting and effective in developing fluency thinking skills, namely through implementation of STEAM Project Based Learning models.This study aims to describe the learning process of childrens by implementing learning projects that integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and identify the level of development of fluency thinking skills as an impact of the learning model undertaken. This researchused is mixed methods, concurrent embedded research design, with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The data obtained in this study are qualitative in the form of a description the learning process and quantitative data in the form of a percentage the development of children's fluency thinking skills. The research instrument usedthe observation sheet and documentation. Participants involved amounted to 5 childrens who sat in group B (5-6 years old). Based on the results of these studies, STEAM Project Based Learning has a learning process that can identify of the children's fluency thinking skillslevels and can even develop their fluency thinking skillslevels in the skillsto ask lots of questions, answer a number of answers if there are questions, and work faster and do more than other children.
