Abstract

ABSTRAK Suci Widiasari. (1600240). Analisis Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis Siswa SMP dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Open-Ended. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis adalah kemampuan menemukan dan menyelesaikan masalah matematis dengan berbagai macam strategi. Analisis terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa perlu dilakukan sebagai acuan untuk selanjutnya dapat ditentukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Melalui soal open-ended yang memiliki banyak solusi atau banyak cara penyelesaian, akan terlihat cara atau strategi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP dan mengetahui respons siswa terhadap aktivitasnya dalam menyelesaikan soal open-ended. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah suatu kelompok siswa kelas VII pada salah satu SMP di Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan pada penskoran jawaban siswa serta ketercapaaian indikator berpikir kreatif pada setiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal open-ended, siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang terbagi ke dalam 5 kriteria, yaitu sangat tinggi, tinggi, cukup, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Siswa yang mewakili tiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis tersebut memiliki pencapaian yang berbeda terhadap indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Respons siswa terhadap aktivitasnya dalam menyelesaikan soal open-ended pun beragam. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, terdapat siswa yang merasa senang mengerjakan soal yang memiliki lebih dari satu jawaban karena membuat siswa lebih memahami konsep, namun ada juga siswa yang merasa tidak mengerti apabila harus mengerjakan soal dengan lebih dari satu jawaban. Selain itu, kebanyakan siswa bingung dalam menjawab soal dan merasa informasi pada soal tidaklah lengkap. Kata kunci : Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, soal open-ended. ABSTRACT Suci Widiasari. Mathematical creative thinking ability is the ability to find and solve mathematical problems with a variety of strategies. Analysis of students mathematical creative thinking abilities needs to be done as a reference to further determine efforts to improve these abilities. Through open-ended questions that have many solutions or many ways of solving, students will see ways or strategies in solving problems. Therefore, this study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking ability of junior high school students in solving open-ended problems. In addition, this study also aims to determine students responses to their activities in solving open-ended problems. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was a group of class VII students at one junior high school in Bandung. The data analysis technique is based on scoring student answers and indicators of creative thinking achievement on each mathematical creative thinking ability criterion. The results of this study indicate that in solving open-ended problems, students have the ability to think creatively mathematically which is divided into 5 criteria, namely very high, high, sufficient, low, and very low. Students who represent each criterion of mathematical creative thinking ability have different achievements on the indicators of creative thinking abilities of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Students responses to their activities in solving open-ended problems also vary. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers, there are students who feel happy working on problems that have more than one answer because it makes students better understand concepts, but there are also students who feel do not understand if you have to work on questions with more than one answer. In addition, most students are confused in answering questions and feel the information on the questions is incomplete. Keywords : Mathematical creative thinking ability, open-ended problem.
