Abstract

Pendahuluan: Sumber stress ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome dapat berupa pertengkaran kecil dan cekcok dengan keluarga terkait pengasuhan, pendidikan, pengobatan, pandangan lingkungan sekitar terhadap anak down syndrome, serta keadaan emosional diri ibu sehingga akan mempengaruhi keutuhan dalam berumah tangga. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi masalah stress pada ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome. Metode: studi literatur ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi, kualitatif, purposive sampling dan product moment. Populasinya adalah ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome. Hasil: Stress pada ibu disebabkan oleh kurangnya dukungan dari keluarga dan lingkungan. Lingkungan yang kurang mendukung serta cenderung memandang negatif anak down syndrome dapat menyebabkan stress pada ibu. Introduction: Sources of stress for mother who have children with down syndrome can be in teh form of minor quarrels and quarreling with family related care, education, treatment, environmental views about the child and the emotional state of the mothers so that it will affect the integrity of the household. This literature study aims to explore the problem of stress in mothers who have down syndrome children. Methods: This literature stidy uses phenomenological, qualitative, purposive sampling and product moment methods. The population is mothers who have down syndrome children. Result: Stress in mothers is caused by lack of support from family and the environment. An environment that is less supportive and tends to look negatively on children with down syndrome can cause stress on teh mother.
