Abstract

Literasi saintifik telah menjadi tujuan utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di berbagai negara di dunia termasuk Indonesia. Dalam menghadapi tantangan global saat ini siswa dituntut untuk dapat menguasai, memahami dan menerapkan pengetahuan sains dalam pemecahan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari. Kompetensi literasi saintifik yang harus dikuasai siswa di antaranya menjelaskan fenomena secara saintifik, menginterpretasi data dan bukti secara saintifik, serta mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah. Ketiga kompetensi ini dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran sains di laboratorium. Pembelajaran di laboratorium memerlukan Lembar Kerja sebagai “task” bagi siswa yang ditunjukkan sebagai sarana belajar dan bertujuan untuk memberi pengalaman pada peserta didik. Lembar kerja yang baik dapat diukur dari sejauh mana lembar kerja tersebut memfasilitasi siswa demi ketercapaian setiap indikator pada kompetensi literasi saintifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif, dengan sampel sebanyak 30% dari jumlah lembar kerja yang dipakai pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata yang cukup baik lembar kerja dalam memfasilitasi keterlaksanaan indikator literasi saintifik siswa. Indikator tentang interpretasi data menjadi kompetensi yang paling sering ditemukan, sementara indikator pada kompetensi mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah jarang ditemukan. Secara keseluruhan Lembar kerja mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA X sudah termasuk kategori baik dalam memfasilitasi ketercapaian indikator kompetensi literasi saintifik. Scientific literacy is the main goal in improving the quality of education in country around the world including Indonesia. In facing the global issues nowadays, students are challenged to understand and apply the scientific knowledge to overcome problem creatively in real life situation. Students have ability to engage with science-related issues, and with the ideas of science, as reflective citizens and willingness to engage in reasoned discourse about science, which requires the competencies of explain phenomena scientifically, interpret data and evidence scientifically, evaluate and design scientific enquiry. The scientific literacy could be enhanced by science laboratory activity. In the laboratory activity student requires Worksheet as task in facilitating the learning processes and aimed to give new experience for student. A good worksheet could be quantify from it content in facilitating the scientific literacy processes. This study was descriptive and the sample was 30% of biology worksheet that have been used in academic year in Senior High school X. The result shows that the biology worksheets relatively facilitating the indicator of scientific literacy. Indicator of interpret data mostly analyzed than the others, and the indicator of evaluate and design scientific enquiry was rarely analyzed. Overall biology student worksheet in Senior High School X relatively have good score in facilitating the scientific literacy indicator.
