Abstract
Novel Cala Ibi karya Nukila Amal menceritakan pencarian identitas tokoh utama. Penelitian ini menjawab beberapa pertanyaan tentang bagaimana fantasi, mimpi, dan identitas tokoh utama Cala Ibi saling berhubungan dan mendukung unsur estetikanya. Untuk mendapatkan identitas tokoh utama, novel ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan strukturalisme Todorov yang memfokuskan pada aspek penokohan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan psikoanalisis Freudian untuk menganalisis mimpi dan psikoanalisis Lacanian untuk menganalisis fantasi dan identitas tokoh utama. Dari pendeskripsian dan analisis tokoh diketahui bahwa novel ini memiliki dua alur berbeda dengan pemusatan pada dua tokoh sentral. Alur pertama berlatar dunia nyata, sedangkan alur yang lain merupakan dunia mimpi dari tokoh sentral di alur pertama. Setelah melakukan identifikasi tokoh, didapatlah kesimpulan bahwa tokoh utama kedua alur ini merupakan individu yang sama, dilihat dari bahasa yang digunakan saat berkomunikasi dengan tokoh lain, pola pikir, dan beberapa tokoh yang memiliki kesamaan. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam mimpi dan fantasi merupakan bagian dari pembiasan hasrat tokoh utama. Bahasa tersebut tidak bermakna konotatif, tetapi denotatif. Isi percakapan yang merupakan interaksi antartokoh, fantasi, dan mimpi dimaknai sebagai hasil mekanisme diri pergolakan hasrat tokoh utama dalam mencapai identitasnya. Fantasi dan mimpi tokoh utama merepresentasikan hasrat tokoh utama akan identitas dirinya dan lingkungannya. Fantasi tokoh utama menggambarkan hasrat identitas leluhurnya yang tidak tercapai. Kekecewaan tersebut membuat identitas tokoh utama tidak stabil. Tokoh utama selalu menolak penanda yang diberikan leluhurnya sebagai identitas penuh dirinya. Tokoh utama berpendapat bahwa penanda itu diberikan karena petanda dari leluhurnya, tidak berdasarkan identitas yang ada pada dirinya. Hasrat pada leluhur muncul pula pada mimpi tokoh utama dan alur lain. Mimpi fase cermin merepresentasikan penolakan tokoh utama pada identitas dirinya dari leluhurnya. Mimpi tentang alur lain mewujudkan pendapat tokoh Aku tentang identitas dirinya. Ketidakstabilan identitas tersebut diatasi dengan menyadari bahwa citraan luar yang menjadi landasan identitas tokoh Aku. Untuk menampilkan identitas dirinya tokoh Aku harus berusaha menampilkan apa yang sebenarnya ada dalam dirinya. Cala Ibi novel by Nukila Amal tells about the main character of search for identity. This the research answer some question about how fantasy, dream, and identity of main character Cala Ibi connecting and supporting aesthetic elements. For obtaining the identity of the main character, this novel is analyzed by using Todorov’s structuralism which it focuses on aspects of the character, and it is continued with Freudian’s psychoanalysis to analyze the dream and Lacania’s psychoanalysis to analyze fantasy and the identity of main character. From the description and analysis of the figure are know that this novel has two difference plots with concentration on two central characters the first plot is on real world, and the second plot is the dream world from central character in first plot. After identifying figure, it is concluded that both the main characters on plots are the same individual, these are seen from the languages at communication with other character, paradigm, and some characters have similarities. The language is used in the dream and fantasy are parts from refraction of desire of the main characters. The language is not meaning connotative, but denotative. Content of the conversations are the interaction between characters, fantasy, and dream are interpreted as a result of defend mechanism of desire the main character in achieving its identity. Fantasy and dream of the main character represent the desire of the main character of identity and environment. Fantasy of the main character describes desire identity of ancestors did not achieve. The disappointment makes identity of the main character is unstable. The main character always refused makers were given ancestor as his full identity. The main character believes that the markers were given because his ancestral markers of identity that is not based him. Desire to ancestors appears also in dream’s she main characters and another plots. Phase of mirror dream is representation main character of his ancestors to his identity. Dream about another plot realizes the opinion of the figure I about my identity. Unstable of identity is overcome by realizing that the external imagery becomes the identity of the figure I. To show his identity; the must try to show is really inside of him
