Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya tingkat kecacatan produk kaos kaki di PT X yang masih tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis seberapa besar tingkat kecacatan produk di PT X dan bagaimana usulan perbaikan yang dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas produknya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskritif dengan menggunakan metode six sigma. Dengan metode six sigma dapat diketahui seberapa besar tingkat kerusakan produk dan kemudian dilakukan analisis penyebabnya menggunakan diagram pareto dan diagram sebab-akibat serta membuat usulan perbaikan secara berkesinambungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui kecacatan pada produk kaos kaki di PT X selama bulan Januari 2019 hingga Desember 2019 ini adalah sebanyak 67.206 lusin dengan nilai sigma sebesar 3,56 dan nilai DPMO sebesar 19.945. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis faktor-faktor penyebab kerusakan produk yaitu manusia, mesin, metode, dan lingkukan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, diperoleh beberapa rekomendasi dengan cara menerapkan rencana perbaikan pada masing-masing faktor penyebab cacat produksi. The reason behind this research is the high level of disability of socks products in PT X. The purpose of this study is to analyze how much the level of product defects in PT X and how the proposed improvements that can be used to improve the quality of its products. This research is a descriptive study using the Six Sigma method. With the six sigma method it can be seen how much the level of product damage and then the cause analysis is done using a Pareto diagram and Cause-effect diagram and make suggestions for continuous improvement. Based on the results of research conducted known defects in socks products at PT X during January 2019 to December 2019 were as many as 67,206 dozen with a sigma value of 3.56 and a DPMO value of 19,945. An analysis of the factors that cause product damage is human, machine, method and environment. Based on this study, several recommendations were obtained by implementing a repair plan for each of the factors causing production defects.
