Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul “Kontribusi Usaha Tambak Garam Terhadap Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Petani Garam di Kecamatan Pangenan Kabupaten Cirebon”. Pokok permasalahan yang diangkat dalam skripsi ini adalah : (1) Bagaimana keadaan usaha tambak garam di Kecamatan Pangenan, Kabupaten Cirebon? (2) Faktor-faktor geografis yang mendukung tambak garam di Kecamatan Pangenan, Kabupaten Cirebon? (3) Bagaimana kontribusi usaha tambak garam terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi petani garam di Kecamatan Pangenan, Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini terdapat dua sampel yaitu sampel wilayah dan sampel manusia. Sampel wilayah meliputi empat desa di Kecamatan Pangenan yaitu Desa Pengarengan, Desa Rawaurip, Desa Bendungan, Desa Pangenan, sedangkan sampel manusia berjumlah 96 petani garam terdiri dari 45 responden di Desa Pengarengan, 30 responden di Desa Rawaurip, 11 responden di Desa Bendungan, dan 10 orang di Desa Pangenan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) keadaan usaha tambak di Kecamatan Pangenan sebagian besar memiliki luas lahan 0,5 – 1 Ha dengan mayoritas status lahan sewaan serta memiliki pengalaman bertani lebih dari 10 tahun. Produksi garam rata-rata menghasilkan 35 – 60 ton dengan kualitas garam ke-II dan berpendapatan rata-rata dari Rp. 10.000.000 – Rp. 20.000.000 / tahun. (2) Sedangkan faktor geografis baik faktor fisik dan faktor sosial menunjang untuk pengembangan usaha tambak garam di Kecamatan Pangenan seperti curah hujan yang kecil dengan rata – rata 1808,45 mm/tahun, dengan suhu antara 30 – 34ºC, serta berada di ketinggian ± 0-2 mdpl, kemiringan lereng antara 0-1%, serta terletak pada lokasi yang tidak terkena dampak pasang surut, dan selain itu adanya dukungan pemerintah dalam bentuk bantuan modal dan penyuluhan. (3) Dalam usaha tambak garam memberikan kontribusi dan dampak positif bagi kehidupan sosial ekonomi petani garam mulai dari meningkatnya pendapatan, kesehatan, kondisi rumah, dan berbagai kepemilikan fasilitas hidup seperti radio, tv, handphone, sepeda, sepeda motor, dan mobil . Kata Kunci : Usaha tambak garam, faktor-faktor geografis, kondisi sosial ekonomi, Kecamatan Pangenan Kabupaten Cirebon. This paper entitled The contribution Of Salt Pond Venture socio-economic Condition of salt farmers in sub-district pangenan district cirebon. Principal issues raised in this thesis are: (1) How the State enterprises of ponds of salt in Pangenan sub district, Cirebon? (2) What are geographic factors that support the salt ponds in Pangenan sub district, Cirebon? (3) How to contribute efforts toward salt ponds socio-economic Condition of salt farmers in sub-district pangenan Cirebon. In this research there are two samples of the sample area and human samples. A sample area covering four villages in the Sub-District of Pangenan consists of, Pengarengan village, Rawaurip village, Pangenan village, and levee village, while samples of man 96 salt consists of 45 respondents in the village of Pengarengan, 30 respondents in the village of Rawaurip, 11 respondents in the levee village, and 10 people in the village of Pangenan. The results of this research indicate that (1) the State enterprises of ponds in the Pangenan most of the land has an area of 0.5 - 1 Ha of the rented land status as well as the majority have experience farming more than 10 years. Salt production on average generate 35 - 60 tons with the quality of the salt II and the average income of Rp. 10,000,000 - Rp 20 million/year. (2) Whereas for the geographical factors both physical and social factors are supporting factors to the development of enterprises of ponds of salt in district Pangenan as little rainfall with an averages 1808,45 mm/year, with a temperature between 30 – 34ºC, and lies at an elevation of ± 0-2 slope, the slope between the mdpl 0-1%, and is located on the site which is not affected by the ups and downs, and in addition the presence of Government support in the form of capital assistance and guidance. (3) in the business of pond salt provide the contribution and positive impact for the socio-economic life of the farmers income increasing from salt, health, condition of the home, and a variety of proprietary on-site living like radio, tv, mobile, bicycles, motorcycles, and cars.
