Abstract

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara intellectual capital terhadap profitabilitas yang signifikan.; Globalization and technological developments have made competition in the business world even tighter. The profitabilitty of firm’s that still feels below the industry average will have an impact on the decline of trust and interest from investors to invest their capital so that the company must find the right strategy to overcome the problem in order to survive in industrial competition. This study aims to determine the effect of intellectual capital as measured by Value Added Intellectual Capital (VAIC) on profitability calculated by return on assets (ROA). The population in this study are pharmaceutical companies that publish their financial statements on the IDX or go public. The research sample was determined by Purposive sampling so that 9 companies were obtained. The research method used is descriptive verification method. Data processed using secondary data, which comes from the company's annual report. The testing of this research hypothesis uses the outer model test and the inner model test based on Partial Least Square analysis and used smartPLS 3.0 to analyze the data. This study shows that there is a positive influence between intellectual capital on significant profitability.
