Abstract

Proses pembelajaran merupakan business core dari layanan pendidikan yang diberikan universitas kepada mahasiswa, hal tersebut merupakan tantangan tersendiri bagi universitas untuk menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran secara bermutu. Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai manajemen mutu proses pembelajaran di Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, Penelitian ini berusaha mengamati bagaimana Universitas mengelola mutu dari komponen-komponen utama proses pembelajaran seperti mahasiswa, dosen, kurikulum, fasilitas belajar dan pembiyaan dengan meninjau dari tujuh unur mutu yakni filosofi mutu, standar mutu, tujuan kebijakan mutu, struktur mutu, proses mutu, unit pengendalian mutu dan penilaian mutu. sehingga membentuk keterpaduan sistem yang efektif dalam menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran bermutu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, serta menetapkan unsur pimpinan, unit pengendali mutu, dosen dan unsur mahasiswa sebagai partisipan penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen kaji dokumen, wawancara, pengamatan dan kuesioner. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa universitas telah memprioritasikan kebijakan pada pengembangan kapasitas dosen secara terprogram dan sistematis, namun masih menemui kendala dalam hal tata kelola fasilitas belajar, pengembangan kurikulum dan tata kelola anggaran sesuai standar mutu yang telah ditetapkan secara nasional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan maka disimpulkan bahwa manajemen mutu proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang secara keseluruhan masih menghadapi kendala untuk dapat menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran yang bermutu sesuai dengan standar mutu yang telah ditetapkan dengan meninjau pada tata kelola komponen-komponen utama yang menentukan kebermutuan proses pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan. Peneliti merekomendasikan bahwa institusi harus merumuskan kebijakan, program-program dengan menfokuskan pada pengelolaan komponen-komponen utama proses pembelajaran sehingga mampu mencapai tujuan pembelajaran sesuai dengan standar mutu yang telah ditetapkan secara efektif. ABSTRACT QUALITY MANAGEMENT OF LEARNING PROCESSES AT UNIVERSITIES (Study of Quality Management Learning Process System at The University of Singaperbangsa Karawang) By : Ilham Fahmi 1707332 The learning process is a business core of the education services provided by the university to students, this is a challenge for the university to carry out a quality learning process. This study examines in-depth about the quality management of the learning process at the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang, this study seeks to observe how the University manages the quality of the main components of the learning process such as students, lecturers, curriculum, learning facilities and financing by reviewing the seven quality elements namely quality philosophy quality standards, quality policy objectives, quality structure, quality processes, quality control circle and quality assessment. thus forming an integrated system that is effective in carrying out a quality learning process. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, as well as assigning elements of leadership, quality control units, lecturers and student elements as research participants. Data collection was carried out using document review instruments, interviews, observations and questionnaires. This research results in the finding that the university has prioritized policies on programmatic and systematic capacity building for lecturers, but still faces obstacles in terms of governance of learning facilities, curriculum development and budget management according to quality standards that have been set nationally. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was concluded that the quality management of the learning process carried out at the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang as a whole still faces obstacles in being able to carry out a quality learning process in accordance with the established quality standards by reviewing the governance of the main components that determine the process integrity. organized learning. The researcher recommends that institutions formulate policies, programs by focusing on managing the main components of the learning process so that they are able to achieve learning objectives in accordance with established quality standards effectively.
