Abstract

Kemampuan perencanaan karir merupakan suatu hal yang penting karena perencanaan karir akan mengurangi kekalutan peserta didik dalam mencari informasi dan membuat keputusan karir yang diinginkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk merumuskan program bimbingan karir berdasarkan pendekatan trait and factor untuk meningkatkan perencanaan karir peseta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan cara penyebaran angket tertutup dengan model likert. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 253 siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum bahwa perencanaan karir peserta didik berada pada kategori cukup mampu yang berarti peserta didik ragu memahami minat yang dimiliki, memahami bakat yang dimiliki, memahami kekurangan dan kelebihan yang dimiliki, mencari informasi tentang ragam dunia kerja, memahami profesi yang dicita-citakan, memahami pendidikan lanjutan, memahami pekerjaan yang relevan dengan pendidikan lanjutan yang diambil. Penelitian berhasil merumuskan program bimbingan karir berdasarkan profil perencanaan karir peseta didik yang akan diuji kelayakannya melalui judgement program oleh pakar dan praktisi bimbingan dan konseling. The ability of Career planning is an important thing because it will reduce the confusion of students in finding information and making desired career decisions. The study attemped to formulate a career guidance programm based on a trait and factor approach to improve student career planning. The design of this research was quantitative which employ survey method. Distribution of closed questionnaires with a Likert model was used for collection the data. This study was conducted on 253 students of grade XI in SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya 2018/2019. In general case, the result of the study shows that students' career planning is in the category of being quite capable, which means that students were doubt to understand their interests, their talents, their weaknesses and strengths, looking for information about the variety of work, understand the desired profession, understand the further education, understand the work that is relevant to the further education. The research succeeded formulating a career guidance program based on the profile of students' career planning that would be tested for eligibility through a judgment by an experts and practitioners of guidance and counseling.
