Abstract

Zahlen merupakan salah satu materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Jerman. Diperlukan sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa memahami materi tersebut. Salah satu media yang diasumsikan dapat membantu siswa dalam mempelajari Zahlen adalah Suchsel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui: 1) penguasaan Zahlen siswa sebelum penerapan Suchsel; 2) penguasaan Zahlen siswa setelah penerapan Suchsel; dan 3) efektivitas penerapan Suchsel dalam pembelajaran Zahlen. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian Quasi Experiment (eksperimen semu) dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dengan kelas X IPS 6 sejumlah 30 orang sebagai sampelnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: 1) penguasaan Zahlen siswa sebelum penerapan Suchsel termasuk ke dalam kategori “kurang baik”; 2) penguasaan Zahlen siswa setelah penerapan Suchsel termasuk ke dalam kategori “baik”; dan 3) penerapan Suchsel efektif dalam pembelajaran Zahlen. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan uji t yaitu: thitung > ttabel (21,76 > 1,699). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Suchsel efektif dalam pembelajaran Zahlen. Media Suchsel tidak hanya digunakan dalam pembelajaran Zahlen. Media ini juga dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran lainnya, seperti nomina dan verba. Ada tiga jenis Suchsel yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran dan dapat disesuaikan dengan materi yang akan diajarkan.----------Zahlen is one of learning materials that is considered difficult by students in mastering German. To overcome this, a learning media be required that can help students to understand the material easily. One of the media that can help students is Suchsel. Therefore, a study with the theme of Suchsel was implemented in Zahlen’s learning. The purposes of this study were: 1) the ability of students in mastering Zahlen before the application of Suchsel; 2) the ability of students in mastering Zahlen after the application of Suchsel; 3) the effectiveness of the application of Suchsel in Zahlen’s learning. This study used the research method of Quasi Experiment used as research method with the research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest. The population of this study is all tenth-grade student of 4 Senior High School Cimahi of 2018/2019 academic year, thus students in X IPS 6 class of the sample as many as 30 people. This study used written test as the main instrument and lesson plan as an additional test. Based on the results of the study explains that: 1) the ability of students in mastering Zahlen before the application of Suchsel belongs to the “fair” category; 2) the ability of students in mastering Zahlen after the application of Suchsel belongs to the “good” category; 3) the implementation of Suchsel is effective in Zahlen’s learning. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test calculation, that is: tcount of 21,76 > ttable of 1,699. The types of Suchsel are not only in this study, hence there are three types of Suchsel, which can be applied in learning process, in addition Suchsel can be adapted to the material to be taught.
