Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Subang pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap hasil belajar, pengaruh self-esteem terhadap motivasi belajar serta efek mediasi motivasi belajar pada pengaruh self esteem terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Subang yang berjumlah 709 siswa dari 17 sekolah. Dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 5 sekolah dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 256 siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei eksplanatori dan teknik analisis data yaitu analisis regresi berganda dengan variabel mediasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa motivasi belajar memediasi pengaruh self-esteem terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. ABSTRACT The study is based on low students learning outcomes in Senior High School in the XI grade students of Subang Region especially on Economic subjects. This study is aimed to investigate the effect of self-esteem on learning outcomes, the effect of self-esteem on learning motivation and learning motivation have a role mediate the effect self esteem on learning outcomes. The participants of this study were students of Senior High School in the Subang Region with total 709 students by 17 schools. By using the technique of stratified random sampling obtained a sample with total 5 school and the respondent were 256 students. The method used in this study was explanatory survey and data analysis used multiple regression analysis with mediate variable. The result of this study showed that learning motivation is significant perfectly to mediate self esteem influence to learning outcomes in economic subject.
