Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keterlibatan ayah dengan self-compassion, keterlibatan ibu dengan self-compassion, serta keterlibatan ayah dan keterlibatan ibu secara bersama-sama dengan self-compassion pada remaja di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan responden 400 orang remaja. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan The Inventory of Father Involvement (IFI) untuk mengukur keterlibatan ayah, Egna Minnen Betraffande Uppfostra – Short Form (s-EMBU) untuk mengukur keterlibatan ibu, dan Self-compassion Scale (SCS) untuk mengukur selfcompassion. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi sederhana dan regresi linear. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat hubungan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan self-compassion sebesar 0,203 2) Keterlibatan ibu tidak memiliki hubungan dengan self-compassion 3) Keterlibatan ayah dan keterlibatan ibu secara bersama-sama memiliki hubungan positif namun keterlibatan ayah lebih berfungsi dibanding keterlibatan ibu pada hubungan ini.----------The aim of this study was to identify the relationship of father involvement with self-compassion, mother involvement with self-compassion, and the relationship of both father involvement and mother involvement with self-compassion on adolescents in Bandung. This study used quantitative method with 400 adolescents as participants. This research used Inventory of Father Engagement (IFI) to measure father involvement, Egna Minnen Betraffande Uppfostra - Short Form (s-EMBU) to measure mother involvement, and Self Compassion Scale (SCS) to measure self-compassion. Results indicated that self-compassion was associated with father involvement, on the other hand self-compassion was not associated with mother involvement. Father involvement has better function when it comes to correlation between father involvement and mother involvement with self-compassion.
