Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan yakni pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru (teacher oriented) metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam proses belajar pembelajaran kurang bervariasi kebanyakan metode ceramah, tidak terbiasa melakukan kegiatan percobaan yang dapat mengaktifkan belajar siswa ketika pembelajaran berlangasung, banyak siswa yang tidak antusias dalam belajar akibatnya hasil pembelajaran menjadi rendah. Kegiatan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya materi perubahan sifat benda belum memuaskan. Hasilnya perolehan nilai rata-rata hanya 59,86, yang mencapai KKM baru 39% sementara KKM yang harus dicapai siswa 65. Kondisi nyata tersebut perlu diadakan perbaikan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pendekatan keterampilan proses. Berdasarkan permasalahan pokoknya adalah: 1). Bagaimanakah perencanaan pembelajaran IPA materi perubahan sifat benda di kelas 3 SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis Depok melalui pendekatan keterampilan proses untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa? 2). Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA pada materi perubahan sifat benda di kelas 3 SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis Depok dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses? 3). Bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA pada materi perubahan sifat benda di kelas 3 SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis Depok melalui penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA materi perubahan sifat benda melalui pendekatan keterampilan proses. Metode peneltian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Targart melalui empat langkah tahapan: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Alur penelitian dilakukan dua siklus. Pada penelitian yang telah diterapkan dan diamati terjadi suatu peningkatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses pada pembelajaran IPA materi perubahan sifat benda ternyata dapat meningkat. Proses dan hasil belajar aktivitas siswa meningkat dan hasil belajarnya pun meningkat. Rata-rata evaluasi siswa sudah melebihi KKM pada mata pelajaran IPA. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil evaluasi pada tiap siklus. Adapun hasil siklus I dengan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa 65,55 menjadi 58%, sedangkan pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 77,22 mencapai peningkatan ketuntasan 86%. Jadi penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses perlu dijadikan suatu alternatif dalam upaya meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar siswa Abstract This research is based on the problem of the study which is the study still focuses on the teacher oriented. The method of teaching used in teaching activities is less various mostly the teacher just uses lecturing method which is less attractive the students to be more active, so most of them are not interested in following the lesson. In addition, the result got is not too satisfying. The teaching and learning process in science subject especially a change of thing characteristic material has not satisfied yet. Consequently, the average of score just reaches 59,86, which achieves KKM by approximately 39%, nevertheless standard of minimum score that the students must obtain is 65. That condition needs improving of the study by approaching skill process. Based on the aforementioned factors, some of the problems are as following: 1) how is the application of process-skill approach in the chapter of the change in thing’s characteristics at the science class improved at the third grade of SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis Depok planned? 2) How is the application of process-skill approach in the chapter of the change in thing’s characteristics at the science at the thrid grade of SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis Depok? 3) How is the students’ result of the application of process-skill approach in the chapter of the change in thing’s characteristics at the science at the third grade of SD Negeri Tugu 11 Cimanggis? The purpose of this research is to describe the plan, the implementation, and the students’ result of the application of process-skill approach in the chapter of the change in thing’s characteristics at the science. The method used in this research is classroom action research which is used the model developed by Kemmis and Mc. Tagart trough four steps: plan, action, observation, and reflection. Chronology of research is done in two cycles. There was an improvement in the implemented and observed study. The result of the study shows that the application of process-skill approach in the chapter of the change in thing’s characteristics at the science class improved. Both process and result of students’ activities improved. On the average, the students could pass the minimum standard score of science subject. This was proven based on their results in the evaluation step in each cycle. In the first cycle, the number of the students obtaining 65,55 grew to 58%, while in the second phase, the figure for those acthieving 77,22 increased to 86%. To conclude, the application of the process-skill approach can be an alternative in order to improve the learning process it self and the students’ ability.
