Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh adanya sebagian siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN di Indramayu Kota yang tidak memenuhi Kriteria Kelulusan Minimum (KKM) pada mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dilihat dari Penilaian Ujian Tengah Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh locus of control dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu survei eksplanatori melalui penyebaran angket sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS di Indramayu Kota sebanayak 381 murid yang meliputi SMAN 1 Sindang, SMAN 1 Indramayu dan SMAN 2 Indramayu. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 195 siswa. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan path analysis. Temuan penelitian menunujukan bahwa locus of control berada pada kategori sedang, motivasi belajar pada predikat sedang dan hasil belajar pada kategori sedang pula. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa temuan pertama yaitu locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar. Sedangkan temuan kedua menyimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Kemudian temuan ketiga menyimpulkan bahwa locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Selanjutnya terdapat temuan yang menyatakan bahwa locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar melalui motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil dari temuan dalam penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pengaruh locus of control terhadap hasil belajar melalui motivasi belajar memiliki nilai koefisien jalur yang paling besar. Implikasi penelitian ini bahwa guru dan orang tua siswa harus selalu menanamkan keyakinan positif bahwa keberhasilan dapat diraih dengan kerja keras pada siswa sehingga siswa bisa termotivasi untuk dapat berprestasi dan pada akhirnya nilai hasil belajar yang diperolehpun tinggi .; This research is based on the background of the existence of some students of class XI IPS in Senior High School State as the Capital City of Indramayu who did not meet the Minimum Graduation Criteria (KKM) on economic subjects as seen from the Evaluation of Even Semester Middle Examination for 2017/2018 Academic Year. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of locus of control and motivation to learn on learning outcomes. The method used is an explanatory survey through questionnaires as a data collection tool. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS in Indramayu City as many as 381 students including SMAN 1 Sindang, SMAN 1 Indramayu and SMAN 2 Indramayu. The sample in this study amounted to 195 students. Data analysis techniques using path analysis. The research findings suggest that locus of control is in the moderate category, learning motivation at moderate predicate and learning outcomes in the medium category. The results of the study concluded that the first finding, namely locus of control, had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. While the second finding concludes that learning motivation has a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes. Then the third finding concludes that locus of control has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. Furthermore, there are findings that state that locus of control has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes through learning motivation. Based on the results of the findings in this study, it can be seen that the influence of locus of control on learning outcomes through learning motivation has the greatest path coefficient value. The implication of this research is that teachers and parents of students must always instill positive beliefs that success can be achieved by working hard on students so that students can be motivated to achieve and ultimately the value of learning outcomes obtained is high.
