Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengaruh kesejahteraan sosial bagi kesehatan mental yang positif. Kesejahteraan sosial merupakan penilaian atas keadaan dan fungsi individu dimasyarakat serta sejauh mana individu tersebut berkembang dalam kehidupan sosial peserta didik. Penelitian ini didasarkan bahwa setiap individu tertanam dalam struktur sosial dan menghadapi banyak tugas dan tantangan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kesejahteraan sosial peserta didik kelas XI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian dari 14 sekolah yang terdiri dari 56 kelas dengan jumlah responden 1647 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dengan mengadaptasi instrumen social well-being scale Keyes (1998) yang terdiri dari 34 butir pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum kesejahteraan sosial peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 berada pada kategori sedang, artinya rentang pencapaian tingkat kesejahteraan sosial peserta didik berkisar antara 33%-68% dari seluruh indikator, sehingga peserta didik dianggap belum sepenuhnya: memiliki keyakinan terhadap potensi pertumbuhan masyarakat dimana mereka tinggal; memiliki sikap positif terhadap orang lain; merasa menjadi bagian dari masyarakat; berkontribusi terhadap lingkungan; serta melihat kehidupan pribadinya sebagai sesuatu yang bermakna. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dijadikan dasar dalam membuat program pelatihan guru BK SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan peserta didik melalui layanan bimbingan sosial.; The background of the research by impact of social well-being for positive mental health. Social well-being is an assessment of the circumstances and functions of individuals in the community and the extent to which these individuals develop in their social lives. This research is based on the fact that each individual is embedded in social structures and faces many social tasks and challenges. The aim of the research is to get a profile about social well-being by students of class XI. The research method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study are high school students in Bandung City Year 2018/2019. The sample of this research is 14 schools consisting of 56 classes with 1647 respondents. The instrument used is by adapting the Keyes (1998) social well being scale which consists of 34 statements. The result of the research shows that the social well being of senior high school students in the city of bandung by class XI are in the medium category which means that the range of achievement of the level of social well-being of students ranges from 33% -68% of all indicators, so students are considered not fully: have confidence in the growth potential of the communities in which they live; have a positive attitude towards others; feel part of the community; contribute to the environment; and see his personal life as something meaningful. The results of these studies can be used as a basis for making training programs for guidance and counseling teacher in Bandung to improve the social well being of students through social guidance services.
