Abstract

Implementasi pembelajaran praktikum TPC (Total Plate Count) pada mata pelajaran Dasar Pengendalian Mutu Hasil Pertanian di SMK PPN Lembang masih menghadapi permasalahan. Kegiatan praktikum ini sering menemui hambatan permasalahan waktu dan keterbatasan fasilitas yang dimiliki sekolah seperti, keterbatasan peralatan dan bahan untuk praktikum kurang memadai dalam menunjang pelaksanaan praktikum. Optimalisasi pembelajaran di laboratorium dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran sebagai sarana belajar mandiri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan laboratorium virtual sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran pada materi TPC (Total Plate Count) yang layak digunakan oleh siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang diadaptasi oleh Sugiyono. Tahapan penelitian ini adalah analisis kebutuhan produk terdiri dari identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, pengembangan produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba skala terbatas, revisi produk ke-1, uji coba skala luas, revisi produk ke-2, dan produk akhir. Hasil penilaian ahli media, materi, dan bahasa terhadap aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak, komunikasi visual, relevansi materi, kecukupan manfaat, lugas, komunikatif, kesesuaian dengan peserta didik, kesesuaian dengan kaidah bahasa, dan penggunaan istilah, simbol, atau ikon adalah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil penilaian uji skala terbatas dan uji skala luas menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan interpretasi sangat layak terhadap pengembangan laboratorium virtual. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, laboratorium virtual layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi TPC (Total Plate Count) mata pelajaran Dasar Pengendalian Mutu Hasil Pertanian.; The implementation of TPC (Total Plate Count) practicum learning in the basic subjects of Agricultural Products Quality Control in Lembang PPN Vocational School still faces problems. This practicum activity often encounters obstacles such as school's facilities and time problems. Apparently, the school's facilities are very limited, especially the equipments and materials for practicum which are inadequate in supporting the implementation of lab work. The optimization of learning in the laboratory can be done by developing the learning media as a means of students' self-learning. This study aims to develop a virtual laboratory as an alternative learning media in TPC (Total Plate Count) that is suitable for students. Research and development (R&D) theory which is adapted by Sugiyono is used as the research method of this study. The stages of this research are product requirements analysis, which consisting of identification of potential and problems, data collection, product development, design validation, design revision, limited scale trials, 1st product revision, wide-scale testing, second product revision, and final product. The results of media, material, and language expert assessment on aspects of software engineering, visual communication, material relevance, adequacy of benefits, straightforward, communicative, suitability with students, conformity with the rules of language, and the use of terms, symbols, or icons are appropriate to be used as instructional media. The results of the limited-scale test assessment and the broad-scale test show that students with very appropriate the development of virtual laboratories. Based on these studies, virtual laboratories based on proper use as learning media in TPC (Total Plate Count) material is the basic subjects of Quality Control of Agriculture Products.
