Abstract

Abstrak Ketidaksepakatan pemaknaan simbol bahasa antara anak autistik dengan mitra komunikasinya dan terbatasnya media alternatif komunikasi merupakan sumber kegagalan dalam berkomunikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merumuskan aplikasi sistem komunikasi personal untuk mengatasi permasalahan komunikasi anak autistic dan menguji quality in use aplikasi tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Mixed method Exploratory design. Subjek penelitian adalah AD, keluaraganya, walikelas, dan 37 responden orang tua yang memiliki anak autistic dengan hambatan komunikasi nonverbal. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa bentuk komunikasi noverbal subjek adalah gestur, mimic dan intonasi suara yang bersifat personal. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dirumuskan aplikasi yang diberi nama BI-Tjaraku. Aplikasi Bi-Tjaraku memiliki fitur membuat kamus secara personal yang berbentuk video, membuat kalimat dan memberi hak akses kepada orang lain yang disetujui. Pengujian quality in use Bi-Tjaraku menggunakan analisis Partial Least Squares (PLS). Hasil analisis menunjukan atribut, efektifitas, produktifitas, keamanan dan kepuasan memiliki nilai T statistic >1.96 (signifikansi tinggi). Artinya bahwa semua konstruk first order adalah konstruk dimensi pembentuk konstruk quality in use. Sehingga dapat dikatakan aplikasi Bi-Tjaraku memiliki kualitas yang baik menurut para penggunanya. Fitur aplikasi Bi-Tjaraku memberikan kemudahan dalam pengoprasian dan juga memberikan ruang eksplorasi kepada para pengguna dalam mengembangankan bahasa dan komunikasi anak autistic secara personal. Abstract Disagreement on the meaning of language symbols between autistic children and their communication partners also the limited alternative media of communication are the cause of failure in communication. The purpose of this study is to formulate an application of personal communication systems to overcome the communication problems of autistic children and test the quality in use of the application. This Mixed Exploratory design method’s subjects in this study were AD, their families, teacher, and 37 respondent parents who have autistic children with nonverbal communication barriers. This study found that non-verbal forms of communication of subjects were gestures, mimics and personal intonation of voice. As the results of this research, an application called BI-Tjaraku was formulated. The Bi-Tjaraku application has features to make personal dictionaries in the form of videos, compose sentences and grant access rights to others who are approved. Bi-Tjaraku quality in use testing uses Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. The results of the analysis show the attributes, effectiveness, productivity, safety and satisfaction have a T value of statistics> 1.96 (high significance). This means that all constructs of the first order are the constructs of the dimensions forming the construct of quality in use. So it can be said that the Bi-Tjaraku application has good quality according to its users. The Bi-Tjaraku application features make it easy to operate and also provide exploration space for users in developing the language and communication of autistic children personally.
