Abstract

Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan merupakan mata pelajaran yang mendasar
yang harus di pahami oleh seluruh siswa di bidang keahlian Desain
Permodelan dan Informasi bangunan (DPIB), namun terdapat hambatan yang
dialami oleh siswa yaitu dalam pemahaman terhadap materi mengenai Mata
Pelajaran Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan
penyampaian materi disampaikan dengan metode ceramah. Hal itu
mendorong peneliti untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran baru pada mata
pelajaran tersebut yaitu demonstrasi dan eksperimen agar siswa lebih
mendapatkan gambaran secara jelas mengenai suatu prosedur pekerjaan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan penerapan
metode, hasil yang didapatkan setelah menerapkan metode, juga perbedaan
antara penerapan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan eksperimen.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain pre-experimental design
(nondesign) dengan metode posttest only-one shot case study. Setelah
dilakukan penelitian didapatkan bahwa pada keterlaksanaan metode
pembelajaran demonstrasi mendapatkan respon yang cukup baik yaitu
dengan ditunjukkannya hasil yang cukup baik dengan rata-rata nilai yang
lebih besar dibandingkan dengan hasil penerapan metode pembelajaran
eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata yang peroleh kelas demonstrasi sebesar 75,39
sedangkan kelas demonstrasi sebesar 67,80. Perbedaan yang cukup signifikan
antara penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan eksperimen yaitu kesiapan
siswa dalam menerima metode baru yaitu eksperimen, siswa lebih dapat
menerima metode demonstrasi yang disebabkan karena metode tersebut
sejenis dengan metode yang biasa dilaksanakan di sekolah ----- Basic Building Construction is a fundamental subject that must be
understood by all students in the field of expertise in Model Design and
Information Building (DPIB), but there are obstacles experienced by students
in understanding the material regarding Building Construction Basic
Subjects. This is because the delivery of material is delivered by the lecture
method. This prompted researchers to apply new learning methods to these
subjects namely demonstrations and experiments so that students get a clear
picture of a work procedure. This study aims to determine how the
implementation of the method, the results obtained after applying the method,
as well as the difference between the application of demonstration and
experimental learning methods. The study was conducted using a preexperimental design (non-design) with a posttest only-one shot case study
method. After doing the research, it was found that the implementation of the
demonstration learning method received a fairly good response, namely by
showing quite good results with an average value greater than the results of
the application of the experimental learning method. The average value
obtained by the demonstration class is 75.39 while the demonstration class is
67.80. A significant difference between the application of the demonstration
method and the experiment is the readiness of students to accept a new
method, namely experimentation, students are more able to accept the
demonstration method because the method is similar to the method commonly
used in school
