    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh lemahnya kemampuan otot tungkai dan otot lengan atlet balap sepeda downhill Spartan Racing Team Cirebon yang pada beberapa kali atlet harus mengayuh secara maksimal dari awal start atau pada tikungan agar bisa menambah kecepatan, dan banyaknya rintangan seperti bebatuan, akar, lompatan dan rintangan-rintangan yang lainnya saat dilewati, sehingga mempengaruhi konsentrasi pada saat bertanding. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan pengaruh metode latihan Neural Activation terhadap kekuatan maksimal otot tungkai dan otot lengan atlet balap sepeda downhill. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dan pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan teknik total sampling pada 6 orang atlet team Spartan Racing Team Cirebon dan menggunakan treatment metode neural activation. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah melalui uji t dua rata-rata. Diperoleh hasil tes squat thitung 0,147>ttabel 0,319 maka H0 Ditolak dan H1 Diterima, hasil tes Leg Press thitung 0,179 >ttabel 0,319 maka H0 Ditolak dan H1 Diterima, hasil tes Bench Press thitung 0,167 >ttabel 0,319 maka H0 Ditolak dan H1 Diterima. Demikian terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan pelatihan neural activation memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kekuatan maksimal otot tungkai dan otot lengan;
    this research was motivated by the weak ability of the leg muscles and arm muscles of bicycle racing athletes downhill in the Spartan Racing Team Cirebon which often times he has to pedal from the beginning or on uneven road and many obstacles such as rocks, roots, jumps and other obstacles when passed, thus affecting concentration when competing. The purpose of this study is find out whether there are differences in the effect of the Neural Activation training method on the maximum strength of leg muscles and the arm muscles of downhill cycling athletes. The method used in this study was an experimental and quantitative approach using total sampling technique in 6 athletes from the Spartan Racing Team Cirebon team and using neural activation method treatment. The results of this study are through an average two t test. Test results obtained from t count squat 0,147> t table 0,319 then H0 Rejected and H1 Received, results of Leg Press test t count 0,179> t table 0,319 then H0 Rejected and H1 Received, Bench Press test results t count 0,167> t table 0,319 then H0 Denied and H1 Received. Thus there is a significant difference in the effect of neural activation training which has a significant effect on increasing the maximum strength of leg muscles and arm muscles.
