Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan asesmen kinerja dan konferensi melalui Google Classroom sebagai assessment for learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi abad ke-21 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah 120 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam 4 kelas X MIPA di SMAN 1 Lembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan embedded mixed method desain. Data kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan keterampilan siswa sebagai hasil pengembangan perangkat asesmen. Instrumen yang digunakan tes standar berpikir kritis dan kuesioner standar komunikasi abad ke-21 berdasarkan NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress), task dan rubrik berdasarkan standar K-12 Public Education 2015, skenario konferensi, angket respon siswa dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahapan. Tahap pertama berupa kajian potensi dan kelayakan fitur aplikasi untuk pengembangan asesmen kinerja dan konferensi, serta uji coba. Tahap kedua berupa penerapan asesmen kinerja dan konferensi daring melalui fitur-fitur Google Classroom. Fitur create assignment, create announcement, create question, notification, to do dan nama siswa dapat digunakan untuk memfasilitasi asesmen kinerja; sedangkan kegiatan konferensi menggunakan fitur create announcement. Perolehan nilai N-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 42.86% termasuk kategori tinggi dan 47.62% termasuk kategori sedang. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 79.14 melampaui kriteria mastery learning dan hampir seluruh siswa (88.10%) siswa ada pada kategori mastery. Namun, peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi siswa tergolong rendah. Perolehan nilai N-gain keterampilan komunikasi siswa sebesar 28.57% termasuk kategori sedang dan hanya 23.81% mencapai mastery. Hasil pengembangan asesmen kinerja dan konferensi melalui Google Classroom dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis lebih optimal dibandingkan dan keterampilan komunikasi abad ke-21. The main purpose of this study was to develop performance assessments and conference through Google Classroom as assessment for learning to improve student’s critical thinking and communication skills of the 21st century. The research sample was 120 student who divided into four science classes in Lembang senior high school. This research used mixed method with embedded experimental design involving experimental process in the research. Quantitative data was used to measure the improvement of student skills as result of the development of assessment tools. Instruments that used are standardized critical thinking tests and 21st century communication standard questionnaires based on NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress), tasks and rubrics based on K-12 Public Education 2015 standard, conference scenarios, student response questionnaires and field notes. This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage was reviewed of the potential and feasibility of application features for the development of performance and conference assessments. The second stage was the implementation of performance assessment and online conference through Google Classroom features. Implementation of performance assessments can be facilitated by create assignment, create announcement, create question, notification, to do and student names features; while the conference activities can be facilitated by the create announcement feature. The result of this N-gain scores showed that 42.86% student including high category and 47.62% student including medium category in critical thinking. Almost all student (88.10%) were mastery in critical thinking. The improvement of students' communication skills was low. The score of N-gain students' communication skill were 28.57% including medium category and only 23.81% student were mastery. The development of performance assessments and conferences through Google Classroom can improve 21st century critical thinking can improve critical thinking skills optimally compared to communication skills.
