Abstract

Wilayah Cibeunying memiliki fungsi sebagai pusat pemerintahan, pendidikan, perdagangan dan kawasan lindung yang mengakibatkan meningkatnya tingkat migrasi dan pertumbuhan penduduk alami di wilayah ini. Di Indonesia, data kependudukan disajikan oleh BPS melalui sensus penduduk yang dilakukan sepuluh tahun sekali, biaya mahal, dan sumber daya manusia yang banyak. Citra Quickbird mempunyai resolusi spasial tinggi sebesar 0,6m. Citra penginderaan jauh dalam mengkaji jumlah penduduk memiliki keunggulan yaitu efisiensi dan biaya yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji ketelitian citra Quickbird dan menganalisanya dalam mengestimasi jumlah penduduk di Wilayah Cibeunying. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penginderaan jauh. Dengan tehnik pengumpulan data berupa interpretasi visual citra Quickbird dan survei lapangan. Populasi sampel diambil dengan cara sampel acak berstrata dari blok permukiman. Uji ketelitian interpretasi citra Quickbird menggunakan kaidah Short. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan uji ketelitian citra Quickbird dalam mendapatkan data jumlah penduduk di Wilayah Cibeunying sebesar 93,75%. Hasil analisis citra Quickbird dalam estimasi jumlah penduduk adalah sebanyak 368.661,8 jiwa, sedangkan jumlah menurut sensus penduduk adalah sebesar 376.712 jiwa. Sehingga terdapat perbedaan sebesar 8.050,2 jiwa antara data hasil estimasi dan data yang menjadi acuan. Diperlukan studi lanjutan dalam penentuan klasifikasi yang baku tiap kelas unit perumahan dan jumlah anggota keluarga pada setiap rumah. Cibeunying region functions as the centre of the government, education, and the protected area resulting in increased migration rates and increased population. In Indonesia, the demographical data which is presented by Indonesia Statistics (BPS) through population censuses submitted every 10 year is considered to have high cost, and too many populations. The Quickbird satellite imagery has a high spatial resolution of 0.6 meters. Remote sensing imagery in studying population has the advantage in terms of efficiency and affordability. The purpose of this research is to examine the accuracy of the Quickbird imagery and to analyze it in order to estimate the population in Cibeunying. This research used the remote sensing method. Data were collected by visually interpreting the Quickbird imagery and surveys. The sample of population was taken by Stratified Random Sampling from the settlement block. The accuracy testing regarding the Quickbird imagery interpretation used Short rules. The result of this research showed that the accuracy testing of the Quickbird obtained the data of the population in Cibeunying Region of 93.75%. The analysis result of the Quickbird imagery showed that the estimation of the population is 368.661,8 people, while the figure according to the population census is 376.712 people; it means that there was a difference as many as 8.050,2 people between the result of this research and the reference data. Further research is needed in determining the classification of every unit class of the residents as well as the number of family members in each house.
