Abstract

Pengembangan prototype modul berbasis intertekstual pada materi hidrolisis garam bertujuan untuk memperoleh prototype modul pembelajaran berbasis intertekstual pada materi hidrolisis garam. Prototype modul ini diuji kelayakannya yang meliputi tiga aspek, yaitu aspek substansi modul, penggunaan bahasa, dan metode instruksional. Ketiga aspek ini dikaitkan satu sama lain sehingga menghasilkan modul berbasis intertekstual. Intertekstualitas juga diterapkan dalam penyajian materi hidrolisis garam dalam modul yang disajikan berdasarkan multirepresentasi kimia, yaitu level makroskopis, submikroskopis, dan simbolis. Pengembangan prototype modul berbasis intertekstual dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar mandiri peserta didik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah design research yang dikembangkan oleh Plomp, terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Modul pembelajaran berbasis intertekstual pada materi hidrolisis garam yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan sebesar 96,7%, dengan hasil uji kelayakan modul sebagai berikut: 98,6% kriteria layak pada aspek substansi modul; 92,6% kriteria layak pada aspek penggunaan bahasa, dan 98,9% kriteria layak pada aspek metode instruksional. Hasil pengolahan data tes awal dan tes akhir pada uji coba terbatas terhadap sepuluh peserta didik menunjukkan peningkatan N_Gain dengan kategori tinggi sebanyak enam orang dan kategori sedang sebanyak empat orang. Lima orang peserta didik diwawancarai mengenai tanggapan terhadap modul yang dikembangkan. Tanggapan umum peserta didik dari aspek bahasa yaitu bahasa yang digunakan mudah dimengerti, dan dari aspek penyajian yaitu modul dikemas secara menarik dan sistematis. Kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik yaitu pada bagian penurunan rumus perhitungan pH dan penggunaan istilah H3O+ yang tidak familiar bagi peserta didik. The development of a prototype of intertextual-based module on the salt hydrolysis topic aims to obtain an intertextual-based module on the salt hydrolysis. Prototype module is tested about the criteria consist of the feasibility aspect for module substance, language, and instructional method. These aspects are associated with each other so that produce an intertextual-based module. Intertextuality is also applied in presentation of salt hydrolysis material in module that based on multirepresentation in chemistry, which are macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic levels. The development of a prototype of intertextual-based module is done to meet the self-learning needs of learners. The research design used is design research developed by Plomp, consist of three phase: preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. Intertextual-based module on the salt hydrolysis topic is 96,7% feasible with feasibility test provides results as be: 98,6% of the criteria are feasible in the module substance aspect, 92.6% of the criteria are feasible in the language aspect, and 98.9% of the criteria are feasible in the instructional method aspect. The results of a limited trial (from pre-test and post-test data processing) of ten students showed an increase in N_Gain with six students placing in the high category and four students placing on the moderate category. Five students were asked for general responses about the module. General responses for language aspect is the language easy to understand, and for module display aspect is module packaged attractively and systematically. The difficulties experienced by students are about pH calculation formula and unfamiliar terms such as “H3O+”.
