Abstract

Abad 21 merupakan abad pengetahuan dimana teknologi komunikasi dan informasi berkembang dengan pesat. Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi ini menyebabkan tingginya tuntutan keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu agar dapat bersaing di dunia global. Keterampilan yang harus dimiliki tersebut dikenal dengan istilah keterampilan abad 21. Menurut NEA (2013) keterampilan abad 21 terdiri dari Critical thinking skill, Collaboration skill, Communication skill, dan Creativity and Innovation skill (4C’s). Keterampilan abad 21 dapat dilatihkan salah satunya dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model Project based learning (PjBL). Penelitian terkait profil keterampilan abad 21 dibutuhkan sebagai dasar untuk melatihkan keterampilan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan abad 21 (4C’s) siswa SMA melalui model PjBL. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA di salah satu SMA swasta kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu rubrik keterampilan abad 21 yang diadaptasi dari Buck Institute of Education (BIE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis, keterampilan kolaborasi, dan keterampilan komunikasi siswa berada pada kategori mendekati standar, serta keterampilan kreativitas dan inovasi siswa berada pada kategori di bawah standar. The 21st century is century of knowledge where communication and information technology is growing rapidly. The development of communication and information technology has caused a high demand for skills that must be possessed by everyone in order to compete in the global world. The skills that must be possessed are known as 21st century skills. According to NEA (2013) 21st century skills consist of Critical thinking skills, Collaboration skills, Communication skills, and Creativity and Innovation skills (4C's). 21st century skills can be trained one of them in learning using the Project based learning (PjBL) model. Research related to 21st century skill profiles is needed as a basis for training 21st century skills. This study aims to determine the skills profile of the 21st century (4C's) high school students through the PjBL model. The sample used was a class XI MIPA student in one of the private high schools in Bandung. The method used is quantitative descriptive with observation data collection techniques. The instrument used was a 21st century skill rubric adapted from the Buck Institute of Education (BIE). The results showed that critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, and communication skills of students were in the category of approaching standard, and creativity and innovation skills of students in the below standard category.
