Abstract

Pemelajar BIPA Tiongkok sering mengalami kesulitan dan gejala gegar budaya ketika berbicara dengan orang Indonesia atau ketika tinggal di Indonesia. Selain itu, metode pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbicara BIPA adalah metode terjemahan. Sementara itu, di Tiongkok belum ada media pembelajaran yang berintegrasi komunikasi lintas budaya Tiongkok-Indonesia yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pemelajar BIPA. Akibatnya, pemelajar BIPA Tiongkok kurang berinteraksi dengan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, bahkan kurang memahami budaya Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbicara BIPA dengan metode interaktif untuk komunikasi lintas budaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Research & Development melalui 4-D Model. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Setelah melakukan studi literatur pada tahap pendefinisian, penulis merancang media pembelajaran berbicara dengan metode interaktif untuk komunikasi lintas budaya pada tahap perancangan. Pada tahap pengembangan, rancangan tersebut dievaluasi oleh ahli bidang media, pembelajaran, dan lintas budaya. Selain itu, media pembelajaran tersebut juga diuji coba kepada 20 pemelajar BIPA Tiongkok tingkat B1 dengan langkah-langkah pendahuluan, inti pembelajaran, dan penutup. Hasil evaluasi dan uji coba termasuk layak dan sangat baik. Dikembangkan media pembelajaran berbicara berbentuk DVD-ROM yang berisi 18 video pembelajaran beserta buku konsep media pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran, petunjuk untuk pengajar, dan skenario pembelajaran. Pada tahap penyebaran, produk akhir tersebut telah digunakan di 3 jurusan bahasa Indonesia di Tiongkok dan terdapat umpan balik yang sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran tersebut bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, juga bisa meringankan gegar budaya, dan lebih menyesuaikan kebutuhan pemelajar BIPA Tiongkok Chinese BIPA learners tend to have difficulties in Indonesian speaking. Also, they often suffer from culture shock when speaking with Indonesians or living in Indonesia. Besides, teachers are used to applying translation method in Indonesian speaking classes in China. Yet there is no teaching media that integrates Indonesian speaking with Chinese-Indonesian cross-cultural communication that meets learners’ needs. Therefore, Chinese BIPA learners lack chance to interact in Indonesian language nor comprehension over cross-cultural communication. This research was aiming at developing a media for teaching Indonesian speaking with interactive method for cross-cultural communication by using Research & Development Methods and 4-D Model. The research data was collected through questionnaires, interview, observation and tests. After literature studies during phase define, author designed a media for teaching Indonesian speaking with interactive method for cross-cultural communication during phase design. During phase develop, the mentioned media design was evaluated by experts on ICT media, cross culture, and BIPA learning. Futhermore, the media has been tested on 20 Chinese BIPA learners through procedures including opening, learning, and ending. The results turned to be quite well. Accordingly, there developed a media for teaching Indonesian speaking carried in a DVD-ROM, containing 18 videos, along with teaching concept, teaching materials, teachers’ manual, and teaching scenarios. During disseminate part, the final product was given and applied in 3 universities with Indonesian language majors and have reveived satisfactory feedback. It can be concluded this teaching media can help of improving speaking ability and alleviating culture shock, and also it is more suitable for Chinese BIPA learners.
