Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul “Perkembangan Home Industry Sandal Bantarkaret dan Dampaknya terhadap Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Kecamatan Cicantayan Kabupaten Sukabumi (1997-2016). Permasalahan pokok yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana dinamika home industry sandal Bantarkaret dan dampaknya terhadap kehidupan masyarakat Kecamatan Cicantayan tahun 1997-2016. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait perkembangan home industry sandal Bantarkaret baik mengenai perkembangan awal, upaya yang dilakukan dalam rangka mengembangkan home industry maupun dampak yang terjadi pada kehidupan sosial-ekonomi masyarakat Kecamatan Cicantayan Kabupaten Sukabumi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis meliputi heuristik (pengumpulan sumber) baik sumber lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber dan historiografi. Sedangkan teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa temuan yakni Kecamatan Cicantayan merupakan sentra industri sandal Bantarkaret. Sebelum berkembangnya home industry sandal Bantarkaret sebagian besar masyarakat Kecamatan Cicantayan bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. Keberadaan home industry sandal Bantarkaret telah menambah corak mata pencaharian baru bagi masyarakat Kecamatan Cicantayan. Keberadaan home industry terus mengalami perkembangan, baik mengenai jumlah home industry maupun kapasitas produksinya. Penambahan corak mata pencaharian tersebut telah memberikan perubahan kehidupan masyarakat di Kecamatan Cicantayan. Perubahan tersebut memberikan pengaruh terhadap berbagai aspek sosial-ekonomi diantaranya pendapatan, tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat, tingkat pendidikan serta gaya hidup masyarakat. The title of this paper is “The Development of Sandal Bantarkaret Home Industry and Its Impact to the Social Economic Life of Cicantayan Subdistrict Communities of Sukabumi Regency (1997-2016). The main problem that examined in this paper is how is the dynamic of Sandal Bantarkaret Home Industry and its impact to life of Cicantayan Subdistrict Communities in 1997-2016. The purpose of this paper is to cunducted a deeper study about the development of sandal Bantarkaret home industry, started from early development, the efforts that conducted in order to develop the home industry and also the impacts that happened to the social economic life of Cicantayan Subdistrict communities of Sukabumi Regency. The research method that used is historical method, including heuristic (source collection) of written and oral sources, source critic, and historiography. Whereas research technique that used is literatur study and interview. According to the result of this research Cicantayan Subdistrict is a industry central of Sandal Bantarkaret. Before the development of Sandal Bantarkaret Home Industry, most of the Cicantayan Subdistrict Communities worked as a farmer. The existency of Sandal Batarkaret Home Industry enriched the variety of occupation in Cicantayan Subdistrict Communities. The existency of home industry is still developing, it can be seen from the amount of home industry and the production capacity itself. The increasing of variety occupation made changes to the several social-economic aspects, which ofe are income, commuity prosperity level, aducation level and also community life style.
