Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Adobe Flash terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB C Sumbersari. Berawal dari kemampuan anak tunagrahita ringan dalam belajar mengalami hambatan intelektual, berpikir dan berbagai hambatan belajar. Dampak dari hambatan yang dialami mereka kesulitan dalam berbahasa, khususnya pada aspek membaca permulaan. Kesulitan yang dialami subjek yaitu belum mampu merangkai suku kata menjadi kata yang utuh. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu media pembelajaran yang memudahkan anak untuk belajar membaca permulaan, sehingga peneliti menawarkan media Adobe Flash dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research (SSR), disain A-B-A. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh diolah melalui statistik deskriptif, ditampilkan dalam bentuk presentase dan grafik, serta dianalisis menggunakan analisis perolehan mean level pada fase baseline-1 (A1), fase intervensi (B), dan fase baseline-2 (A2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan intervensi menggunakan media Adobe Flash, subjek mengalami peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya perolehan peningkatan mean level pada setiap fase pertama baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 35%, fase intervensi (B) sebesar 47%, dan fase baseline-2 sebesar 53%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan media Adobe Flash berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB C Sumbersari. The purpose of this researchis to knowing the effect of Adobe Flash media for improving pre-reading skill of the children with mild-mental retardation in SLB C Sumbersari. Starting from the ability of children with mild-mental retardation in learning whose have intellectual disorder, thinking and another learning disorder. The impact of obstacles they have difficulty in speaking, especially in pre-reading aspect. The difficulty he experienced was not able to string the syllable into a whole word.Therefore, it takes a learning media that make it easier for children to learn pre-reading skill, so this research is offering Adobe Flash media as an effort to improve the ability of pre-reading skill. The researched use a Single Subject Research (SSR) method with experiment approach and A-B-A design. The data were collected throughtest and documentation. The data obtained were then processed using descriptive statistics, then displayed in percentage and graph form, and analyzed by using the mean rate at the baseline-1 (A1) phase, intervention phase (B), baseline-2 phase (A2).The results of this research showed that after being given an intervention by using Adobe Flash media, the subject has an increase in pre-reading skill. It can be proved by the acquisition of the mean level increase in each first phase of baseline-1 (A1) of 35%, the intervention phase (B) of 47%, the baseline-2 phase of 53%. So it can be concluded Adobe Flash media has an effect to improving the pre-reading skill of children with mild-mental retardation at SLB C Sumbersari.
